Lots of historical buildings to see. For quilters, the Quilt museum was fabulous as was shopping for fabric at Hancocks. Otherwise the downtown area was only interesting along the rivers, where there was the wall of murals painted with history timeline, but the rest of downtown was pretty run down, lots of empty storefronts, mediocre restaurants and not much open on Mondays. The rest of Paducah was like a regular small town with predictable stores. We did not do much in the rest of the town except take a drive around.

My Granddaughters & I gave Papaw the tour of the Riverfront and a little bit more of Paducah. We've shown him downtown during the summer when the bands are all out on the streets downtown. We've taken him to the Dam, Kentucky Lake, LBL and on our future trip we may take him and show him all around Grand Rivers. Paducah is rich in history, beautiful architecture and within a few miles of some other beautiful sites. Mammoth Cave, Cave in Rock and more aren't too far either

I really enjoyed the Quilting Museum and fabric shops but the walk along the painted flood wall provided a wonderful pictorial history of the city. Sweet little park behind the wall provided great view of the river and paddle boat. Lots of great restaurants near the hotel

A very friendly town filled with history and best of all the National Quilt Museum. Not overwhelming to walk around or drive around and see some sites. Pleasant temperatures. Nice people in the stores and the restaurants and in the hotels. I don't know / don't think this would hold interest for small children. The White Haven Welcome Center was beautiful and had a tour of the mansion and some history.

Paducah has amazing history.
Paducah has amazing history. Few people we have met in the US to whom we shared we were going there had heard of it. Hotels in Paducah could take a leaf out of the Residences at Biltmore who provide a lot of information about their town to encourage people planning to go there.
We had a Queen Suite that was Excellent! Big, Clean, Comfortable, Safety Bar with Non Slip Grip and Non Slip tub Floor! The beds were Very Comfortable and the Rooms were Spotless! There is Texas Roadhouse Restaurant across the Parking lot! The Breakfast was served with an Attendant who was Very Friendly! There were Many Choices of Hot and cold Breakfast Items with Assorted Juices, Milk, Coffee and Soda. It was the best Breakfast I have Had! Lots of Free Parking!
I rate this a 5 star Hotel!
The location, staff, amenities and overall hotel was great! The room was nice and we really enjoyed it for 2 days, but there was lots of dust and it just wasn't super clean.. But it didn't effect our stay... the first morning waking up, we were awoken by a dog barking nonstop.. that was super annoying and kind of upset us. Other than that, it was a good stay.
Staff was amazing from the time we checked in until the time we left. Room was no frills, but clean and the hotel was close to plenty of food and shopping options. It's also close to both Land Between the Lakes Recreational area and Shawnee National Forest for plenty of outdoor activities. Will definitely stay again on our future trips.
It is a well kept up facility, including the room, lobby, dining area and hallways. Our room was super comfortable, clean and good size. They offered a good warm and cold breakfast with ample food selections. The staff was super helpful and friendly. For sure will be staying there again on our next visit through the Paducah area.
the hotel is a short walk or drive to the downtown area, which offers free parking. They have a nice bar and restaurant on site. We did not eat there but did enjoy drinks both at the bar and they have an outside patio right off the bar area. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and nice.
The front desk manager was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The location was convenient being right off the highway. We had not planned on stopping but due to bad weather we had to stop for the night. This hotel was very reasonable and allowed our dog to stay.
Like: Beautifully restored hotel accommodations, very comfortable bed, good shower, nice shared breakfast area, price for what we got was good. The room had a terrific looking jacuzzi tub that we did not get a chance to try. Staff was good.
The rooms were updated, clean and the bed was comfortable. The person working the front desk was very friendly, check in was quick and easy. The hotel did not have hot breakfast but did have a ton of “grab and go” type options.
This is a boutique hotel in a lovely old building in a lovely old town. Our room had a wild shower with a big tub for two. Everything is in walking distance. Room does not include breakfast.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. It is very nice to have both supper and breakfast at the hotel. The location of this hotel is very handy, just blocks off of the interstate.
Great location, friendly staff, large room with an attached living room, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, clean bathroom, were able to park near the front door.
This was a breath of fresh air after suffering a month of adequate, poor, and quite frankly awful chain hotels/motels across the country. in a word, delightful.
