We've visited Bloomington several times since leaving, but haven't lived here for more than half a century. Not many old folks will come back to visit after that time and say "Hey, this place was wonderful back then--and it's even better now."

Sooo many different types of adventures for couples young and old or family escapecations. We loved the meal options such a great variety and the site seeing. The lake was serendipitous and the staff and other visitors and locals were extremely helpful and friendly. Bloomington is an adventurous inviting place to enjoy all walks of like and mark off your bucket list to do's!

The Uptown Cafe' was a highlight-We had the Crawfish Etouffe' and the Seafood gumbo, they were amazing! Loved all the architecture of the city-old and new. Drive around and love the scenery-visit the Bill Monroe museum-it's a Mecca for anyone who loves Bluegrass or Country music. Costumes from Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Minnie pearl, and so many more. Visit the Bean Blossom bridge-built in 1800's. Brown County state park is gorgeous! Being there in April it was quiet, and so peaceful.

The rooms are typical.
The rooms are typical. The hotel is nice and is in a good location if you need to be downtown. It isn't very far from campus either. There is nothing special about this hotel. It is a Hyatt. The only complaint I really have was the pool. We stayed New Year's eve night. The pool was freezing cold! It's winter. The room should have been extremely warm and the water very warm. It wasn't and in fact it was COLD!

Bloomington is a great college town, plan some time to check out the campus and the surrounding Lake Monroe reservoir area if you can. Lots of long time establishments to find a bite to eat or drink, but when the students are in town, make reservations when you can. Much more fun with the larger population, but harder to get into some of the restaurants and bars.

Lots to do and see! Indiana University campus is wonderful!
Lots to do and see! Indiana University campus is wonderful! Loved the art museum and library! Enjoyed the arboretum and botanical gardens! Good places to eat but most servers not very friendly. Not far from Nashville, IN and Brown County State Park which we also enjoyed!
This is a horrible place, I should be getting refund. The bugs fell on my son's bed in the middle of the night, we called the front desk and were not sure for any other room. We were also so tired that didnt have courage to change rooms and their was lot of noise in corridor throughout night. I and my son were alone so didnt feel comfortable going out and change the room where you can hear lot of people in corridor mostly drunk. I had asked hotel to give me refund for this horrible experience but told have to go through the booking site.
The Super 8 in Bloomington is an exceptional budget hotel located of the highway close to the commercial area west of the campus. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was good. It had a working AC unit, mini-fridge, and microwave. The shower had good water pressure. The free breakfast was adequate. Although close to the highway, the traffic can't be heard in the room. The Super 8 offers good value for the money, and it is one of the few hotels in Bloomington that does not price gouge its patrons.
The hotel was located within walking distance of so many stores I can’t even name them all. Every where we went in the hotel was so clean. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and even recommended things to do and places to eat. If I ever make it back to Bloomington I won’t stay anywhere else!
Great room, very near the Bloomington's town square, where there were plenty of shops and restaurants. Good front office where personnel were helpful and professional. The breakfast met American hotel standards, if not European ones. The price of the room was quite reasonable.
The guy that checked me in was great, the little carts are cute but hard to use. The breakfast was good and the coffee station was well maintained. The hotel smelled really good and the beds were comfortable.
The room was very spacious and very comfortable. Real coffee mugs and glasses. The gal at the front desk was really nice. Great location for going to Indiana University softball games.
The place was clean a decorated nicely. Great touches that are so Bloomington and IU. The red chairs were a nice touch. Staff was friendly and professional. Great location.
The location is quiet and convenient to visit IU via Bloomington downtown.
The house manager is quite excellent in managing and serving to her guests.
Thank you~
The thing I like the most is the hotel is not too far from the university and downtown. There are a lot of things (food and gas) that are not too far either.
