Petaluma is located in a lovely valley with gorgeous country around to enjoy. Good trails, access to nearby Bodega Bay. Lots of great restaurants and shops in Old Town Petaluma. I went for an annual family Halloween Party, so it was a quick stay. Perfect!

If you are there, try seafood!
If you are there, try seafood! If you drive 40 minutes to Bodega bay, you must try clam chowder at Spud Point Crab Company and go to the next restaurant, Fisherman’s Cove and try clam chowder, oysters and halibut taco!

The floor and shower were dirty.
The floor and shower were dirty. We did not expect fancy accommodations, only a clean, simple room for an overnight stop, but were disappointed by the sloppiness of the housekeeping. The bedspread also had burn holes in it and should have been replaced.
The bed and pillows were comfortable that my partner and I were able to fall asleep quickly. The exercise room has free weights along treadmills, weight balls, and a full body workout machine. Breakfast was more than a continental breakfast of danishes, bagels, and muffins. Location is close easy walk to downtown and has free parking. The most surprising aspect of the hotel is how quiet it given that the train station is near by.
I fell in love with Hotel Petaluma the moment I came across it. First and foremost, what you see in the photos is what you get in real life. It's a beautiful, architecturally unique, quaint, historic hotel with a lot of character, and it is all captured in the details. The cleanliness of the hotel was superior; the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location is close to pretty much everything around the area.
Well designed lobby/dining area, well-designed room for both sleep and movable work desk. CLEAN BATHROOM and general CLEANINESS of the faculty. Really exceeding my expectation. Pet Friendly, too. My dog really loved the room and it didn't smell of other dogs. That's a big plus.
I liked that the hotel sits very close to old downtown Petaluma. Everywhere I looked, the decor was a funky, eclectic and interesting mix to enjoy. I liked the crepe breakfast and other goodies offered with it. Mattress was comfortable, the bedding and towels fresh-smelling.
I loved how vintage looking the hotel is and I enjoyed the cleanliness of it all. I love how pet friendly they are. They even gave me a goodies bag for my puppy! So cute! The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!
Very nice staff! Nice property overall - lots of trees and easy parking. The room was clean. The hotel is near the highway so easy on/off but didn't really hear any noise from the cars on the highway.
The interior is really beautiful. The location is excellent to explore downtown Petaluma. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Free coffee and tea were available too.
This was a good stay. Much better than the S. Santa Rosa stay which was incredibly disappointing. This Petaluma property is well cared for, clean and comfortable.
There was no breakfast there and the stay was lovely. Enjoyed the pool. The whole stay was good except the people who stayed at the hotel wasn't as pleasant.
The lobby area was beautiful and elegant. Really lovely. The location is really nice in downtown Petaluma with restaurants nearby within walking distance.
