Beautiful country. I enjoyed riding thru the mountains and desert on horses and side by sides! Hiking is also great. I took a hot air balloon ride over mountains and desert country and it was awesome! It was easy to drive around in this big city because the people are courteous. I visited a camera shop and needed them to ship something and they couldn't do it. But one of their customers said they could do it. So helped me out greatly! This town has great places to eat - I stayed at a Ramada with Guadalajara Mexican Grill beside it and the food was exceptional there. They even make your salsa right in front of you. The stay was great- just too short!

Tucson is a large city in southeast AZ.
Tucson is a large city in southeast AZ. There are many attractions in and around the city. We particularly liked the many hiking trails, the 2 Botanical Gardens, and the Desert Museum. Wonderful weather for hiking and birding! You need to have a car to get to the attractions.

Tuscon is beautiful with lots of fun stuff to do and see.
Tuscon is beautiful with lots of fun stuff to do and see. We were not there long enough to see and do everything we wanted. But enjoyed our stay. The hotel was great. We went to the air and space museum. It takes quite some time, but has a lot to see. Also went to a market, loved that. Really cool. They also have the largest gem show once a year, usually in February. Missed it. Want to do that. Beautiful mountains to explore. Great food too.

Pool and hot tub were great. Room was spectacular.
Pool and hot tub were great. Room was spectacular. Could have used more towels to start off with. Only provided three and we had 4 guests. Plus our dog. She liked the sausage and all the parking lot smells.

Terrific green chili burger from Grillers and Chillers cart...
Terrific green chili burger from Grillers and Chillers cart at Tucson Quilt Fiesta, where we spent an entire day! Easy to get around town. Scored at the sale rack at Summit Hut just before closing time; fine outdoor wear.
The hotel and room were nicely appointed and clean. The location was in a safe and secure neighborhood. The East side of Tucson was close to my destination (FYI-close to Mount Lemon- hiking and the East side of Saguaro National Park, and historic downtown and museums are a 15-20 minute drive.)There are also numerous restaurants (fast food, chain, and family owned). Shopping galore. It was very quiet at night. The pool area is beautiful. Some rooms have a Mountain View. The staff was welcoming, helpful and professional.
Breakfast was excellent although not included in the base hotel price. We stayed in the older part of the resort in a room featuring 1920s Spanish architecture and furnishings which we liked a lot but maybe other guests would not. Dinner was also excellent but did require reservations.. Made use of their warm water pool even though temperatures were in the 60s and low 70s. The grounds were lovely rife with the local vegetation including the giant Surgaro cactus.
The staff was generally friendly and helpful.
The host was very friendly and helpful. Location was suburban but ok: close to buses to airport and downtown, as well as local shopping (incl. Walmart Supercentre) and the Botanical Gardens. Room was clean, comfortable and well heated (February can be cool) with good facilities. Own bathroom, huge closet, fridge, microwave, desk. There was nice outdoor seating too. Tucson itself has plenty to fill a few days but key sights are out of town and a car is really useful.
Good comfort (spacious room, big bed king size), well equipped. Kind and helpful staff. Very Good location (near to Downtown (pay attention to current detours due to important Roadworks) . Outsourced Breakfast with neighbour restaurant (standard incl = 5,$ value). We were afraid of this formula which has disappointed us in a previous hotel visited but this time, it was fully enough and moreover, the personal was very kind!!
Everything! I am extremely well traveled and have stayed all the way from the north side and back in Tucson. This is one of the cleanest, nicest, and safest hotels I have stayed in in a very long time! My children were very happy. So much room!! I slept very well and didn't worry about my vehicle and it was very quiet for being in the city. The staff were very friendly! Quick hassle-free check in! Definitely will be back!
The property is perfectly situated for hiking in the Saguaro National Park and is very well appointed and comfortable. The hosts were extremely helpful and knowledgeable - breakfasts were exceptional. The city of Tucson and surrounding sights are accessible but staying here gives you the impression of being in a quiet and remote spot and it exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend it.
The food was amazing we ended up eating breakfast at the hotel all week since it was filling and yummy. We were in such a good location to walk around downtown and see the courthouse building with the gem and mineral museum and this great coffee shop. We were able to walk to get dinner a couple of nights with ease but it didn’t sound like we were in a downtown area it was quiet and peaceful.
when I learned, I would be staying in an old motel in the downtown area. I was worried. This hotel is great. The people who worked there are extremely nice and helpful. It’s very clean with lots of little considerate features. The bed was comfortable. The pillows with differing hardnesses and thicknesses for us to choose what works for us. It’s convenient. It was even quiet.
Nice hotel with kitchenette and bedroom, in a quiet prestigious area of Tucson.
Quiet place, there are restaurants, concerts of popular artists are held outdoors in the evening. Friendly hotel staff, convenient parking lot.
There are breakfasts, but they are very meager and monotonous. Clean room, white towels. There is a pool and jacuzzi
We live in the Tucson area and stay at a hotel near the airport for early flights out the next morning. Best Western has a restaurant on site, shuttle service to the airport and convenient parking for our car while we are away. We also find their suites a great value.
The hotel was fine, the shuttle service was not and we felt stranded late at night and had to make our way to the hotel over badly lite non pedestrian roads. We were told they had no driver but they would phone other hotels. There seemed to point in waiting....
the location was great - tucson is not a walkable town but staying near downtown makes it as walkable as it can be. The firepit is fun, too, and it was great to have a designated parking space.
Reasonable selection for breakfast and ready early to grab something when you have an early departure.
Close to the Airport (we dropped a rental at the Airport and walked to the hotel!).
Easy access to highway, Saguaro national park and few mins to Tucson downtown. Decent breakfast options and friendly staff. The rooms were hardwood floor and felt very clean.
This historical motel in downtown Tucson is truly a gem.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
The food is exceptional.
I couldn’t be more pleased with my stay.
Great downtown location with easy access to interstate, Tucson Convention Center, local tram, & Fox Theatre. Appreciate the many updates to facilities.
