Amazing view from our room. Impeccably clean. Staff welcoming.
Massive snow storm so we didn’t do much. Couldn’t sleep due to the loud teenagers in the hallway running around all night. No towels
At the pool. When we went back to the pool in the morning our key card wouldn’t open it. Then once we got in the loud group of teenagers were causing chaos in the pool room so I had to take my 7 year old out

Burlington is a charming little town with a small city vibe.
Burlington is a charming little town with a small city vibe. I have family history there so we spent time seeing areas of family interest as well as interesting sights around town. Also very close to Canada for an easy quick trip to Montreal.

Walked to University mall and ate at Applebee's.
Walked to University mall and ate at Applebee's. The food was good and service satisfactory. The mall had several known stores. Dorset Street was very noisy with cars and motorcycles during the night.
The only redeeming quality of the Anchorage Inn was its proximity to the airport.
Would never consider staying there again and am seeking a refund.

Beautiful town, nice shopping and dining
Beautiful town, nice shopping and dining
When colleges have special events it’s impossible to get a dining reservation at the best spots
The contrast between the pricey flair and the ubiquitous homelessness is stunning.
Homeless people are at every corner, in front of churches, at the town park ( wondering if they built a brand new fountain so that they can wash up) many stoned and drunk out of their minds

Burlington is welcoming, diverse, and eclectic.
Burlington is welcoming, diverse, and eclectic. The city is colorful and easy together around with multiple choices for transportation from bikes, walking, bus, taxi, or Lyft. Parking in municipal garages make avoiding street parking easier. During busy times, I recommend not using your car, if you are unfamiliar to Burlington. We were there to take the City Brew Tour as Vermont has more breweries per capita than other states. The meeting spot for th Brew Tour was by the Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop that was constantly busy.
We had a great visit! The suite offered plenty of space for our small family. We could even store our bikes in our room and still be comfortable! Having more space allowed us to enjoy our vacation at our own pace, which is perfect when you're with a 4 y.o. The staff was very friendly and informative, the pool area was kept clean, and the hotel itself is conveniently located to make going into downtown Burlington or access to the highway very easy. We will definitely return to the GMS for our next visit to Burlington!
The location is a bit outside Burlington, but very easy to get to. Close to great hikes and the bay. A gorgeous area!
We were in the John Wayne room, and it was adorable. A little kitschy, but I mean, how could it not be? It was just what we wanted/expected! Also, the room was impeccably clean -- the cleanest hotel room I've been in for years. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as well.
Overall, I highly recommend this charming hotel. A+.
The breakfast was not very good. For example the sausage paddy’s were likely frozen then cooked in a microwave and were soaking in water, not very appetizing.
The location in respect to being close to stores and restaurants was fine but entering and exiting the property was actually difficult/dangerous as you were on a very busy road. Also the hotel could use a lighted sign near the entrance to the property.
We loved it! Very nice - it was not at all cookie cutter like you may expect from a big chain.
Everything felt very unique and homey.
It's in a great location, you can walk to lots of great sites and restaurants in Burlington from the hotel.
Oh and it was our honeymoon so they gave us free champagne and snacks... did not expect it but a really nice touch!
Large, bright room with a comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and shower, TV, fridge. No complaints about the room or the property - it was clean and staff were really nice. Breakfast was huge with lots of options. Walking distance to Starbucks, a grocery store, etc. and close to downtown Burlington. Price was as expected.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was squeaky clean, with comfortable bed and couch, as were the common areas. Enjoyed breakfast in the beautiful gardens and solarium - what a treat! Bonus: The hotel is walking distance to the universities and downtown, so it is easy to get around by foot or on bike.
The room was spacious and comfortable with all the required amenities. Bed was comfortable. Staff helpful and easy to access and use the laundry facilities. Breakfasts were good. Hotel had a lovely atmosphere. We had to rely on public transport so it was great having the bus stop into town right outside the hotel.
The room was very nice - the bed was very comfortable with good variety of pillows. Updated shower and large bathroom was nice. The location is great - just across the highway from UVM and only 5 minutes from downtown Burlington.
Large clean room. Friendly staff. Good location. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Price Chopper grocery store in same plaza. Not too far from downtown Burlington.
