Bismarck was an unexpected gem. We had originally planned to spen just 3 night there but ended up staying for 5. It was a great location for visiting the Standing Rock Reservation but also had its own attractions, such as the Heritage Centre

I hadn't been back to Bismarck in over 35 years until this trip. I didn't get to see much as I was quite busy during my stay. I'll be back in a week and will be seeing a bit more. Can't wait to check out a lot more on my return!

I think the prices are so competitive because they are a new hotel and kind of hidden from street view. If you can get a room here for under $100, it is a steal. This hotel is more along the lines of a fancier hotel as opposed to a quality hotel for the money. Breakfast was as good as you can find for a free continental. Plenty of hot and cold food available. Hint: the ice machines are on floors 2 and 4 in the cubby to the south side of the elevators (none on floors 1 & 3).JamesUnited States of America

I don't know any other hotel that would do that. I loved their free airport shuttle (and extra kudos because it ran 24/7). I liked the ticket for a free drink at their bar (which is open until 1AM). The beer selection was disappointing (on tap were 3 light beers and one Leinenkugel, but the Leinenkugel was only $3 for a pint during long happy hours, and pretty tasty -- free popcorn, too).

We stayed in room 111. The building is surrounded by beautiful plants, with no weeds to be found. The white ceiling paint met the grey wall paint precisely. The carpet looked new, and was put in in-line with the walls. The toiletries were really nice. Both front desk people we met were friendly. The sheets are poly-cotton, not the horrid microfibre ones you find in other places. Typical hotel noise.
