If you have no transportation don’t stay in big spring no Lyft or Uber available and the one taxi co called Dependable Cab left us stranded at Walmart for three hours I had my 4 and 8 year old granddaughters with me and all due to dispatcher and not communicating with his driver.

It was the best route if you are returning to NM from Texas.
It was the best route if you are returning to NM from Texas. Highways were good and felt safe, unlike the 285South route from Carlsbad to Pecos.. The city is super scary. So run down.
The city is super scary. So run down. Nothing looks safe at all. Took my toddler to the park and was so nervous I couldn’t even let her play for long. Toys were broken and graffiti all over the place. If it wasn’t for the camp put on by Howard college, I would never come back. Food was also super sketchy. I did LOVE taco villa though. Avoid traveling I-20 from GA to southwest Texas.
Avoid traveling I-20 from GA to southwest Texas. Too many holdups due to construction projects, No decent places to eat from Big Springs, TX to I-10. Best to pack all your meals in advance. Otherwise you'll have to be satisfied with nothing but fast-food joints.
