The only good thing was the gentleman who checked me in.
The only good thing was the gentleman who checked me in. Otherwise, the place was dirty, the breakfast (while included for free, so should I really be upset?) was rotten. Literally, rotten eggs. I had to spit them out. They were hard boiled and in the refrigerator, but somehow rotten. I also saw I was charged multiple times on my credit card, and the woman I called to check about this was rude and short with me.

Market after dark was fun. 15 blocks of vendors food and others.
We went through Czech village shops, lots of restaurants there and downtown. We didn't visit, but the Czech museum is here too. We visited the Amana colonies, went through all the shops there in main Amana, had the family style dining at the Oxe Yolk inn which is delicious and very neat.
Riverside casino is 30 minutes away, and it is very nice and fun, free concerts there.
Cedar Rapids is a bike friendly town, you can rent bikes or scooters downtown.
They have class A professional baseball, indoor arena football, and professional ice hockey.
there is a neat museum downtown with works by Grant Wood among others.
Go in the summer to get the world's best sweet corn!!!

I was just passing through on my way to Chicago from Rapid City. It was the perfect pit stop as I arrived late and would have been a shame to spend a lot of money to stay in Chicago. It was made more sense to stay at a less expensive hotel in Cedar Rapids and arrive in Chicago earlier in the day.

The motel evidently recently changed hands and the new owners are in the process of repairing and hopefully updating. Where the bathroom floor and the walls meet you can tell those areas are in need of repair. No evidence of mold in thoses areas but they really need attention. The staff was great, especially TP. Nice place to stay as it was clean, room smelled fresh.

The hotel was very nice.
The hotel was very nice. The thermostat for heat/cooling is located on a WALL and I had to ask the front desk how to turn on heat/fan/cooling because the heater/ac doesn't have a label on it telling me that.
The parking lot was kind of small for such a big hotel.
There were lots of kids running around in the hallways as well as in the room above ours (we were on the 3rd floor of 4 floors.) VERY NOISY.

The downtown area is like a new city.
The downtown area is like a new city. There are very interesting things to do and places to eat. It is a clean city with attractive natural water features. The city streets are well maintained and clean. I think it is a very up and coming Midwest City.
I don’t know how Danielle does it and keep sane. I come through Cedar Rapids twice a month and there hasn’t been one time I’ve come to check in and a customer wasn’t up bitching and complaining about either having no coffee pot in the room or no fridge and microwave because they didn’t read the description of each room and reserve the correct one. READ the list on amenities. It does not say coffee pots in room or irons and hairdryers. Motel 6 is able to stay a budget friendly motel because of this.
Second time at this hotel. It is very convenient to my family's home and easily accessed. The first time was, as I recall, a better experience. It is adequate in most ways and clean. The hotel is quiet but I always request to be away from the elevator and ice machine. The staff was courteous and helpful although when the electricity went off on the morning we were leaving, no one answered the phone at the front desk to help with basic information although I called several times.
The breakfast was a good variety and the area was so cute very clean hotel, there was a lot if seating and a very bright and welcoming space. The staff were very polite and friendly if ever staying in cedar rapids again I wouldn't stay anywhere else and would definitely recommend if you like nice clean hotels.
The lobby and pool area had a nice lodge design to them. Staff was friendly and the location next to the airport was very good. Room was quiet even with more people here than the last hotel we stayed at. Being next to a Quick Star and other food options was nice. They always have coffee available for guests.
Breakfast was wonderful. Hotel was beautiful! Restaurant staff awesome too! In fact, my friend had a special request for a breakfast "sandwich" and specified how she liked it prepared, and the chef made it for her each day. Above and beyond, I would say.
The hotel is in a very great location - close to downtown and many restaurants. Breakfast was also great with good options. The seating area in the lobby is great as well with games such as the billiards table.
The ambience of the hotel in general and the room in particular was very good. The staff were very friendly. The room was very clean. The airport shuttle was very quick. The breakfast was very delicious.
Hotel was clean with a fine breakfast, and the common space (used to be a dinner club) looked like it would be great for certain groups, especially with kids.
