The owner is very nice and they have very good house keeper
The Museum was N/C and very informative. The ladies working there were so friendly and warm we did not want to leave. A learning experience about Salina. Across the street is the Cozy Inn, a fun place to get all the little hamburgers you can eat. Very busy and historical. "Best burgers in Kansas", perhaps so! The downtown street, Santa Fe, has been revitalized and is a fun place to stroll and meander. Very updated, try Martinelli's for lunch/dinner. Very reasonably priced also! The hotel is right on Santa Fe and Mulberry, leave your car in the parking lot!

I only stayed one night on a road trip from Indianpolis to Denver. I did not stay in Salina for any reason but convenience. I did like the location/area where the motel was, with resaurants, fast food, gas, liqour stores, other small convenience stores close by.

Salina, KS, was so much more than I expected.
Salina, KS, was so much more than I expected. From its thriving downtown to Indian Rock Park, Lakewood Park, Glenifer, trails, the Arts, Museum, restaurants - highly recommend Martinelli's Little Italy and their top- notch server, Malachai. The Senior Center, the Public Library, CityGo for public transportation, the Police who are present and serving their community, and all the friendly Kansans I met who made me feel welcome and had interesting chats with me. Oh, and the Salvation Army Chapel and its production, by senior citizens, of "Shenanigans at the Blue Pelican Inn". Oh, and the free music I came across at a small bandshell on Friday, May 5, in downtown. I even looked for apartment rentals here because I would enjoy spending my retirement years in Salina. I highly recommend Miss Kitty of Grandstaff Rentals along with Juan who maintains her properties - they are a dynamic duo! Professional and pleasant, and known to enjoy a good laugh or two or three! As you can tell, I highly recommend Salina, KS, as a wonderful place to have an excellent, all-around quality life. Thank you, Salina! Best Regards to All, Elena

To be honest I generally stay in Salina because it is about half way from where I live to Denver which I visit regularly. From Denver it' about half way to Kansas City. I have found some good places to eat, and the people are friendly. But as it's normally an overnight stay for me so I haven't availed myself of it's cultural attractions

Salina is a very small, quiet town.
Salina is a very small, quiet town. Nice to spot to spend the night after driving 10 hours, but not much around. Most restaurants and bars close around 9pm, and a lot of places are closed on Sunday and Monday.

Hello, the staff was very friendly.
Hello, the staff was very friendly. Especially, the morning breakfast lady, I forgot her name. My parents are elderly and she got them their breakfast items and helped them clean up. Above and beyond!
thanks!
This property is very clean, has comfortable beds, friendly front desk staff and plenty of free parking. It is less than 2 miles from the airport for those who are flying into or out of Salina.
There is a clean indoor pool, a hot tub, exercise room and business center available.
We were not traveling with our 2 small dogs on this trip, but for those who are, this is a "No Pets" hotel. The upside of that is that there are no lingering pet odors anywhere on the property.
The staff were really friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was great - it had a pancake maker that made great pancakes, and also had cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice.
The pool was nice and warm and clean. The hotel in general was very clean. Comfortable beds. It was a great stay for our family with 3 kids under 8 years old.
Also there were restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations close by
Breakfast was same as most hotels these days, fake scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, etc., etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. Hotel only 2 years old, very nice and clean. Location is amazing - sits alone on a side road in an almost rural setting and is very quiet. Lots of good local restaurants nearby. Easy to find and to get back on the highway again. Would highly recommend.
Room furniture, comfy bed, late check-in, pet friendly, clean everything, fridge and microwave, hot water, good water pressure, extra cool air conditioning, quiet air conditioner, power strip on vanity, lighting, landscaping, convenience to I70 exit and Salina in general, friendly staff, professional motel, quality of value
The price was good after seeing all other prices for hotels in the area. But we figured out why it was so cheap....the place was old and outdated. The sign in the lobby said renovation was going to take place....well, it definitely needs it.
This is my favorite place to stay in Salina. It feels like a luxury hotel but with moderate prices. The attached restaurant is wonderful and the attached Starbucks is incredibly convenient. I always stay here when I'm passing through Salina.
I was very surprised at how clean and nice it was for a Super 8. For some reason I had felt like those were a cheaper hotel. Our room seemed really clean! It was a very convenient location also, just right off the interstate.
room and facilities were very clean and comfortable.. Pool and hot tub were unexpected pleasures. large event room was also unexpected. Check in clerk was helpful and congenial. Parking was safe and convenient.
