We stayed twice, for a total of ten nights. There is a little shop right next door. Kumar & Kumar, 5 minutes by car, has more stock. Maison Marengo restaurant is 5 minutes walk. a good place though rather expensive. Cafe Kreol in Anse Royale is another good restaurant. No nearby take-away.

Staying in AuCap was a pleasant surprise.
Staying in AuCap was a pleasant surprise. Having access to Turtle Bay Beach and the nearby village of Anse Royale was an added bonus.
There are many beautiful beaches along the coast, which are easily accessed on foot or by bus. Affordable buses run all day, that will have you anywhere along the coast in minutes.
A true highlight, was visiting the local markets and groceries, which are stocked with all of the most delicious produce you can find. Be sure to stop by the fresh roadside fish market in AuCap, whether for shopping or just to take a look! Everyone in the village was so helpful and welcoming.
Staying in Au Cap was a good choice for us! When you want to have a tasty meal and see the picturesque beaches, head to the quaint village of Anse Royale.

Good and close area to the capital Victoria - however due to it also a bit messy "industrial" and not so easy e.g. regarding driving a car. The oposit coast area looks better, more clean and tidy than this one. Still - if you have a car, what we very much recommend, it is very easy to go wherever on the island where you like it, including the inside mountains area, which is also beautiful… Beaches here are still plenty and nice for relax, swimming as well as snorkelling.

Stayed 14 nights, didn't realise you had no where to walk in the evening for an after dinner stroll, no bars or restaurant s you can go to, so once dark at around 6ish you are stuck, not that we want to party but literally nothing, so you are stuck in the villa every evening as the roads are so dangerous with no pavements and the local buses stop and taxis are very very expensive.
