I loved staying in Koror, the people are very friendly and the nature is superb. It is however very expensive and it is not easy to find places where you can hit the water to swim or kayak - without going on a tour or staying on a expensive hotel.

It's a good place with lots of lovely areas to visit. Great for diving, snorkeling and kayaking. Although there are lots of dive sites it is hard to find dive shops that will take you to wrecks. Most of them go to the most famous dive sites every day (Blue hole, German channel etc) Some good restaurants too such as The Cove, The Drop Off, Fisherman's Grill and Elilai.

A gorgeous island where the people are welcoming.
A gorgeous island where the people are welcoming. I wish I had seen more of it. We were on a dive trip. We had a incredible time but we were so tired at the end of each day our last day we decided to rest and stay at the hotel, The Cove, witch was beautiful and relaxing.

If you are looking for a snorkelling paradise the Palau is the place. I’ve been to a number of South Pacific Islands and this is certainly one of the best. Its extremely safe and has a laid-back Island feel.
The snorkelling is first class and the jelly fish trip is a must. We went on our tours with Fish and Fins Diving, they exceeded our expectations, very professional and great to deal with
The staff was great and very helpful. It's a big room with a living room, the bedroom and a kitchen at the back. It was great to have a fridge for drinks and snacks. There is a restaurant on site with good food and friendly staff. Lots of places are still closed due to COVID but we did find a few places where the locals eat near the hotel. There is a mini mart a short walk from the hotel with almost everything you need. The Palau Royal Resort is a short walk away with a great Sunday brunch and a $10 USD day pass the use the pool and beach.
This hotel is conveniently located to Fish N’ Fins dive shop, which is who we dove with for the two weeks we were there. This is not the Ritz-Carlton, but the staff is very friendly, the breakfast is great, and while some of the procedures are not what we are used to (e.g. they still use actual keys for the rooms), our stay was great. We had to extend because of a typhoon and the staff was very accommodating. My favorite part, however, was the ability to snorkel in the lagoon whenever we wanted. It was lovely. I will stay here again!
Ngermid Oasis is in a great off the beaten path location in Palau. The owner is super helpful and responsive. She helped arrange transfers to and from the airport and to restaurants downtown. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood in the morning and afternoons. It has a great pool and kitchenettes in the 2 units we rented. It was perfect for us to stay before and after our liveaboard trip so we will definitely be back.
We chose the resort for the pool and beach but unfortunately the weather didn't play ball and we had rain and also suffered from bad colds during our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is close to a number of good places to eat but the hotel restaurant was empty in the evening (possibly closed?). Overall the hotel was empty with what seemed to be hardly anyone staying.
The room was very good value for money, with it being self contained and a comfortable bed. For me the hotel was in a great location half way between the town centre and the diving operators. Stephanie the manager was very friendly and helpful. The room and building was clean and also close to a number of restaurants.
Everything was amazing! The quietness of the resort, the views from the bungalows, the staff! We had an amazing three night stay here, and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet, unassuming, and peaceful hotel.
Overall experience is ok. Front desk staff isn’t too friendly nor helpful. Only one restaurant is opened but the food is quite decent. Room’s quite old, not great for the value, but it’s prob the best hotel in town.
The front desk staff are the magic to this hotel. A very special group of girls who were so nice and helpful. Housekeeping was also amazing. The location is central and walkable to many restaurants.
The room was spacious, and had a nice sink which was made from a giant clam. The staff were very nice and helpful taking care of our needs. The location was close to the airport and the dive shop.
Spacious and very clean. Staff are extremely attentive but also give you space to enjoy. Leo picked me up from the airport at 230 and even took me into town to get a sim / shopping
The property is a longstanding family hotel on the main road and managed by Japanese speakers. There is an ample kitchen and washers and dryers for $2 each.
