Honestly chicalyo is a perfect place to get away and have fun and drink and go to the beach, you will at first be shocked by the difference in how everything is that being the roads the food the people the culture but honestly everyone is so friendly and amazing and the food is absolutely perfect, the drinks are amazing. Everything is very cheap so it’s easy to spend 2000 dollars in 2 months. The only downside is it’s hot haha

Archeological wonders over 2000 years old!
Archeological wonders over 2000 years old! Several excellent museums and on-site excavations, with good guides. Desert heat, climate damage of storms affecting sites. Mechan Tours service made our trip the best.

Chiclayo is a really cool city with fantastic bars, restaurants and coffee shops. By far the best food scene we encountered in Peru outside Lima (out of five cities). Our favourites were Misha Coffee Lab, Tostao Cafe, Cuatro Once, and Pizzeria Venecia. Definitely worth taking a 20-minute taxi to Lambayeque for the world-class Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum. Uber is cheap and easy, and the airport is very efficient with a great range of domestic flights.

If you come to this region of the Peru, I recommend visiting the royal tumbes of sipan museum, but moreover, I highly recommmend visiting the actual tumbes, known as the Huaca Rajada of Chipan. This is where they found the majority of the ancient treasures and bodies of the former kings and elite in the tumbes and actually reconstructed what the tumbes looked like when they were first discovered by archeologists. It is incredible!

Chiclayo is a really frenetic but friendly place - it is not a tourist town for gringos! A little Spanish helps - we enjoyed going to the “witches market” where they sell traditional medicine of all types in the South west corner of the central market about 5 blocks from the plaza. The rest of the market is great fun too A narrow maze of goods - if you are claustrophobic don’t go! We went the next day to the Tombs of Sipan museum about 20 min away which was fascinating- our Hotel was kind enough to find us a driver to the Mancora area which was why we stopped in Chiclayo. Do not make a special trip here but If you are on your way north or south it is a good stop. Nice dinner at upscale cafe 900 restaurant and bar. Traffic is crazy in this town !

Wonderful city to eat!
Wonderful city to eat! All along the main avenue (Balta) there are must visit restaurants like Carpincho's where you would taste the best "cabro a la norteña". City Highly recommended to try out delicious food!
I've stayed in almost every place in town and this is one of the best. You get what you pay for - The restaurant is nice, the suites are of the quality you would expect of an international hotel brand, and the customer service is always polite and timely. There's usually someone who speaks English. Room service is obviously more expensive than what you would pay in a restaurant, but I thought it was reasonable. Location is dead central but the rooms are still quiet.
A great little hotel, very clean & comfortable. Good location with shops, bars & restaurants close by. Food at the hotel was very good. The reception staff Deivis & Heleyne were very happy & helpful. All other staff were very pleasant. The room was a little stuffy but there was a fan & window. The shower was fantastic.Excellent value for money.
The location is very convenient. We can get easily to La Plaza Principal. There are a lot of coffee shops, restaurants, etc. in this area. All the staff was very kind. My room was very spacious. The water pressure of the shower was the best in my hotel experience. The breakfast was nice, too.
the property is amazing ! has , offers everything you could possibly need. it’s safe , secure . big pool . friendly staff. free breakfast. casino, spa . office, conference rooms , printer , computer to use
it’s amazing! definitely the best hotel in town
beautiful hotel
thank you so much
Great food and great staff. My husband and I adored the food and the very professional staff. Hope they are well paid. The hotel cannot afford to lose them. We would return just for them. We have been in other hotels in Chiclayo, by far this was the best experience we had.
Marcial, the host, made my stay amazing, he took care of everything, waited for me after my flight changed the itinerary, welcomed me to his amazing family and made sure i was comfortable and taken care of. I completely recommend it. Thank you for a great time in Chiclayo!
The location is pretty close to the city center and there's a lot a stores around, you don't have to go to far in case you need a store or a pharmacy. The price was pretty fair if you book it through booking.com compared to booking it once you arrive to the hotel
Good location in the center of Chiclayo, 5 min walk to the main center. The room I had was very big and bright, there was a TV with netflix, and the wifi worked well.
Breakfast was simple but good (scrambled eggs, bread and jam, fresh juice and coffee).
Incredibly kind and helpful staff! They really went out of their way to make my stay as best as possible. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, all super clean. Good location, easy to get to places. Would definitely stay there again.
Hotel is run by a family, central location, absolutely clean, convenient facilities, good beds, very friendly and helpful reception, good breakfast at the rooftop of the building, fast WiFi, good value for money
Very simple but well located Hotel in the center of Chiclayo. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. breakfast at the 7th floor where one can look over the city.
Comfort, large bedrooms, great showers, free buffet breakfast, kindness & attentiveness of the staff. if in Chiclayo again, I would stay here without hesitation.
