Jannie was very welcoming and gave us a full tour of the farm before we settled in our room. She also had wonderful suggestions for activities in the area. She was very thoughtful and had fresh eggs in the room and brought us plums picked from the trees in the yard. Some of our favorite activities on the farm were: brushing the horses, watching the chickens, riding the trikes, using the pedal boats, and walking to see the cows.

This traditional renovated farm is in a peaceful countryside setting, only a 5-minute drive from Monnickendam. Overleekerhoeve offers free Wi-Fi, bike rental and has a picturesque waterside terrace. Each of the rooms at Overleekerhoeve overlooks the Waterlandse landscape, has subtle farm-themed décor and a flat-screen satellite TV. They also include tea and coffee making facilities. The center of Volendam is a 15-minute drive from Overleekerhoeve. Amsterdam, featuring sights including the Van Gogh Museum, is 20 minutes away by car.
