great walled town, long Malecon for morning walks before getting too hot. Nice small museum of archeology. The town is getting cleaned-up, repainting a lot of the older bldgs facades. Nice restaurants, very traditional Mercado, to buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

I loved the old houses and the waterfront light and sound show. High marks for Colonial charm. Sadly, my restaurant experiences, while edible, were not up to the standard I experienced in Valladolid and Playa del Carmen. I did not get to the beach.

I really REALLY love old cities like this with walls and forts to explore. It was easy to get around on foot within the city walls and with colectivos to the forts outside the main area. The malecón was nice to walk in the evening and enjoy the sunset. Lots of renovations going on around the streets so they are looking after the place for the future too.

This city although big does not have a big feel.
This city although big does not have a big feel. Lots of history. Must say it’s the cleanest place in the Yucatán. Friendly people. Beautiful effort of maintaining buildings. Very impressive! Our favourite restaurants/pub was Patroni’s. Best pizza gourmet pizza ever! The lit up town with all the pubs and restaurants was lovely. Down the way a grand market to visit. Very good tour, English provided. The only downside was that we went for a tour at the time told to us at 4:30 and the attendant never showed up. We took it in the morning. Well worth the wait.

This was our second trip, 3 days long.
This was our second trip, 3 days long. Our first was a week long. We're considering moving to Campeche from Merida. Our first trip was just before Christmas and it was beautiful with plenty of activities going on the entire time. We were able to visit most of the tourist attractions but not all. The fortress wall, the Malecon, the Water Show, concerts in the Main Square, Trolley Tour etc. And you can't miss the central Mercado, it was amazing compared to others we have visited. Very clean, as was the rest of Campeche. We felt very safe wherever we went. Our second trip was to revisit and make sure we were still in love with Campeche, and we are. Not as many festivities but still plenty going on. The whole of Centro appears to be going through a government sponsored revitalization project. It was beautiful already but should be spectacular once it's completed. Highly recommend.

We're currently living in Merida.
We're currently living in Merida. We're "older" and are happy with a slower, less crowded lifestyle and Campeche that and more. Great food, great history, great overall cultural experiences. Plenty of interesting places within walking distance of Centro. The remnants of the wall. Beautiful sunsets along the Malecon. Outstanding Central Mercado. Clean city, friendly people (patient with us non-Spanish speakers). We're already planning a long weekend trip to walk the city again.
It's hard to know where to start! The house.is beautifully decorated and immaculate. Our room was beautiful,, too, breezy and cool, with a comfy bed.. Ellie, who cooked our breakfasts, was delightful. She called taxis for us when my Spanish proved to be inadequate. She also kept our room and the whole house and courtyard pristine. Her giggle will be one of my best memories of Campeche. The location was very convenient for exploring the charming city.
We felt very welcome by our host Sebastien. I normally don't write reviews, but want to thank our host by giving us a great experience. He was always reachable and checked on us regularly if everything was ok. He gave us many recommendations on where we could go and we felt really at ease. Also, this is the first stay where there was music in the room. Loved it! Best experience so far in Mexico!
A beautiful boutique hotel, centrally located on a quiet street just a short walk from restaurants and shops. The malecon and old city walls are also just a short walk away. Campeche is a beautiful city and El Navegante makes it accessible.. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a small balcony over the street, and front desk staff were always available and helpful.
I enjoyed my stay. Good location, friendly staff. The dorm was spacious and had plenty of fans which helped, as campeche is hot! The receptionist lady stood outside and hailed a cab for me, which was super nice of her, as it was a holiday and I was dubious about getting one. Good places to eat on that street. I'd definitely recommend!
We had two beds of 150x190cm and they were very comfortable. AC works very well and is silent. The best shower I had since i arrived in Mexico. Water pressure is great and nice hot shower. Room is clean and they provide bottled water. In the morning there is free sweet bread and coffee/tea available. Friendly and helpful staff.
The view from the balcony was fantastic, across the Campeche sign and the water, a great spot for sunsets. The pool was large, clean and refreshing, and the cocktails at the bar during happy hour were also excellent. The main gate to the walled city is just behind the hotel which makes it one of the best locations in town.
Professional service. Very quiet and clean hotel. An above average large and comfortable bed (I estimate 200x200cm). This is not a backpacker hotel, but rather a business hotel. It is similar in quality to European hotels and definitely surpasses other, even more expensive, hotels in which we stayed in Mexico.
It is extremely clean hostel. The kitchen is very well equipped and very clean. You would like to cook in this kitchen because it looks like at home. Everything looks new. It has a great patio with hammocks and a swimming pool. Very good hot shower - one of the best in Mexico. Great location and perfect Wi-Fi.
Good location right outside the center. Had a kitchen and free purified water. Jorge was very nice and helped us with suggestions on where to eat and what to do.
Good wifi and airconditioner. We were very confortable.
Also one of the cheapest places ive stayed in mexico
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is nice and has a vegetarian option.
The hotel is close to the town and seafront by car.
Good wifi. Nice pool. Liked the little private veranda outside our room, which was a bonus.
Good value for money
The hotel was centrally placed with convenient free parking. The staff offer a warm welcome. The beds are comfortable. My rooms (I stayed on two separate occasions) were spacious if a little tired and the beds were comfortable. It is a nice old building.
Perfect location in a tastefully redecorated and refurbished old house in the middle of Campeche. Sébastien was the perfect host: nice, friendly, accommodating and always full of interesting tips about the city and its restaurants. Highly recommended.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is located close to the famous calle 59, where you can find many restaurants. We got a room at the rooftop of the hotel, which offered a great view of the city. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Great place directly in the city centre of Campeche, close to everything. The room was simple but very comfortable, kitchen had all I needed and the place was overall very clean. Can definitely recommend!
Excelente location, clean, secure friendly staff, city express had never disappoint me when I travel any were in Mexico, breakfast is light and simple as it should be before going to explore around.
the location is great, right in the city center near bars and restaurants and close to the water to see the amazing sunset, private parking in the hotel, free water bottles at the room
The hotel rooms are clean, the staff is good but the beds are horrible is like you are sleeping on a brick. The hotels need an upgrade. And the pool is very small
Lovely quiet hotel right in the centre with free convenient parking. Impressive courtyard and big rooms.
Nicest town hotel we have stayed at in Mexico.
