We did eat at Kasba Planet Sahara, Food was great, local, well prepared by the lady cook, just a bit too big portions :):):) Excellent! Outdoor meal was in the desert - grill - local type - wow, we all enjoyed! Additionally, was easy to walk arround and to have a drink in some local caffee shops - very nice. Avoid ..!? to short stay to avoid anything, just add few more days.

Merzouga is a desert town principally set up to offer a desert experience and trips into the Sahara. There are limited food and 'tourist' shops and a number of restauarants (although we didn't use these). Our hosts at Auberge Les Roches catered for all our needs and desert experience.

    Amazing place, worth visiting!

Amazing place, worth visiting! Despite being a touristic place, it didn't feel crowded. The region is incredible particularly if you're a fan of extreme environment, and a fossil/archeology/geology nerd! Concerning the environmental impact of tourism there, it's hard to tell: it seemed to me that although many fun activities there are not exactly environment-friendly, activities are mostly concentrated in a small area. I also recommend visiting the place between November and April. In April, temperatures were already unbearable at the height of the day, and a couple degrees more at night would be too warm to sleep comfortably. It would be fun to come back exploring more of the fossil sites, and maybe do a 1 week trek in the dunes!

Merzouga is the end of the line.

Merzouga is the end of the line. It is a long five hour drive down from Ourazazate which was our departure point and it was nearly nine hours back to Marrakesh. It won't always be so long, there are extensive roadworks underway in the Atlas moutains which added to our journey time but which will significantly reduce driving times when they are completed in 2024/25. Is it worth the trip? Yes it is but there is a proviso. Travellers should really take the time out before travelling to wok out their route and what they want to see on the way. Morocco might seem a bit like a geographical equivalent to a Wagner opera; lots of tedium with really intense, exciting high points. This can be alleviated by a little bit of research. There are real gems along the way to be discovered but they all add time to a long drive. We were really glad to arrive at out hotel and were luck enough to be directed to Jordi and Naima's bar buy our hotel hosts where we were able to reward ourselves with a cool beer and soem egg and chips after a long and trying drive. The good thing about arriving is that it is differen, the dunes are amazing and you might genuinely feel that you have really traveled and put in the effort to visit somewhere off the beaten track.

this was for sure one of the best experiences we had in Morocco. All the staff was 5*. - we left the car in a free and safe park - we had a 2 hours camel ride at sunset which was magical ( not included in the price of the room but totally worth it) - The food and the room was very nice - We got to sing and dance to Berber songs and we talked with Mohammed for like 2 hours ( there are a lot of Mohammed’s here) 😁. He was incredible and answered at all of our questions about the Berber culture, Merzouga, the desert , etc

I and my husband, we stayed one night in Merzouga Sahara Luxury camp. The tent is very clean, and big, it has everything needed including shower hot water, the staff in the camp has been an excellent host the food is incredible! They also arrange the camel ride before we get to the camp we stopped to watch the sunset over the Sahara. We had a beautiful experience, after dinner we played drums and , felt my experience was exceptional and my comfort, safety, were the most important things. Highly recommended!!

We had an amazing time at the Amazing Luxury Camp. We took a beautiful afternoon camel ride to get there. The camp extended a warm welcome to us. The heating inside the tent kept the tents warm. To truly enjoy the desert experience, I highly recommend staying for two nights, as we did. We went sandboarding (free boards are available in the camp) and took a quad ride, which was scheduled through the camp. Good food and a beautiful lunch location atop a dune. I would heartily suggest this opulent desert camp.

Camping in Desert is incredible. We stayed in Mirage Luxury camp for one night and the staffs gave us a very warm welcome. Staff are friendly and room is comfortable. Surprisingly, the camp provides dinner and breakfast and it is the best meals we had during our stay in Morocco. We enjoyed the camp fire with traditional berber's music after dinner. Everything is just so perfect in Mirage Luxury camp for the first moment we arrived there to the time we left. Thank you for making our Moroccan trip wonderful

Merzouga luxury camp is excellent! Above any expectation! We had a big tent like a large room, a very comfortable bed, toilet and a shower. Clean, comfortable, great quality of food in abundance. The staff is very polite and helpful. At night, after dinner, we danced and we played the local instruments. The experience with the camels is unique. You definitely have to live it even if you are not the most adventurous person! We went with the camels and came back with the jeep. I highly recommend this place

I traveled across Morocco and I had the chance to find an available single tent at The White Camp. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at this camp in the middle of the Sahara desert. The tent has all modern equipment, comfy beds, hot water showers, and flushing toilets. Dinner & breakfast was very good. The workers here are enthusiastic and willing to help with shiny smiles on their faces. I loved everything about this luxury desert camp and I HIGHLY recommend it to every solo traveler.

We were very happy with our stay. It was wonderful to be able to return to the hotel between activities and during the hottest time of day, to use the pool or to sit and relax in various quiet locations. The staff were exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay with them was comfortable and were instrumental in ensuring the rest of our stay in Morocco was equally as successful. Fully recommend to anyone looking to stay in Merzouga!

The tour was fantastic, with really lovely people, a cool camel ride, and the beautiful location in the Sahara!!! This was a one-of-a-kind experience, and the tents were also incredibly luxury, with a hot shower and the most comfortable beds. We had a fantastic time in Morocco and slept in the desert, which was much more pleasant. Also, the meal was quite tasty (three courses), and we had a terrific time. I can't wait to go back!

The camp lives up to its name:luxury! Traveling to the Sahara desert in July with temperatures reaching near 50 C is challenging. But the hospitality, facilities (beautiful bathroom in the tent) and delicious food, music in the evening makes it all worth it. The staff treated us as royalty and the whole experience was great. comparing our experience with other travellers, I’m convinced this is the best camp in Morocco!
