I loved Chuncheon!
I loved Chuncheon! Some excellent sights, including a lovely sculpture park and a "skywalk" that extends well into the river. It's a great base from which to visit Nami Island and Cheongpyeongsa (each a ferry ride away). You can do both in a day if you get up pretty early, though if you're a couple that would like some romance, I'd spend a full half-day and a night on Nami Island -- I was unprepared for how beautiful and downright cute it was! You can get a cab to most places -- it's pretty affordable in Korea.

Chuncheon city tries very hard to be nice and friend to the tourists. Right.outside from the train station, there is a tourist information office providing maps, city/taxi tours and all other informations for the tourists. They are super friendly. Chuncheon is very beautiful city with two rivers, lake, veggie field, rice paddy, and walk/bike trail hugging the lake. It also offers yummy food and there was summer art festival when I visited. The program was free and the performers were excellent. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and totally enchanted!

A lovely river city with full of water activities. The city is well known for a-must-visit spot for many of Koreans to grasp the unique perception about the city that often connects to youth and romance. The local foods including Dak-Gal-bi (chicken fan fried or grilled fried) and Mak-guk-soo (local noodle dish) served in pretty much any restaurants in the city are something you should try if you want to try out the authentic flavour of the city’s local foods - which can be found in other cities but with completely distorted taste. Chuncheon, although more rural than other parts of Korea, is a beautiful city and has great food. Not a lot of foreigners but the people of Chuncheon are really kind. Traveling around the city is not that difficult either.

You can get small bottles of water and canned drinks from the fridge. There's also laundry, ice machine, and access to laptop and printer. There's a good coffee machine in the same area, too. The room we stayed in was clean and cozy. Great bed and wide-screen TV, with fridge and good add ons (we got a Premium double room). The area was very peaceful and quiet (but we did stay on Monday)
