Daejeon was a very nice city and a person could do a lot of great shopping there if that’s their interest. I went to the Yousong Spa and had a great experience. There are quite a few sites just beyond the outskirts of the city too. The bus system was very easy to navigate as well. Mine was a January/winter trip so I didn’t get to see all the city has to offer. It is worth a return trip though.

I only get to travel for a day so I cannot really describe Daejeon. But from research, I would definitely love to come back and try more things. I took the City Tour Bus and it is quite different from other city tour buses I have tried in Korea. Daejeon City Tour Bus has "theme" per day and you get to travel with a group. One bus will be waiting while you go around the place and we also had our own tour guide. Maybe it is only on weekdays and on weekends you get to go to different places on your own pace.
Very good location, near train station so we have been there for 2 nites for Jangtaesan. Hotel actually is a love hotel but it blew us away with very nice and friendly staffs (they can not speak EN so you might need to google translate a bit). Room is spacious and well-equipped. Good location for both trains and bus to Jangtaesan, 5 mins walking to Walking town. Safe and affordable price
The hotel is close to the subway station and convenience stores and cafés and shops are close by. The employees were very friendly and helped me to store my luggage before check in. Communication was easy thanks to their good English. The room was very large and the toilet and shower were in different rooms, which is not common in Korea. Breakfast was good.
This is not a hotel nor a motel. It's like a very old one room oficetel. There is no front desk and no staff. It's reasonably clean, but there were a few small towels. No bath towel, no coffee, and not even drinking water. I accidentally left my electric toothbrush there. No luck with this place.
The hotel was in a "new" part of town and seemed pretty fresh overall. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a massage parlor in the hotel and several nearby restaurants. There is also a supposed food street nearby - we went to the new downtown at night, so I think we missed it.
Great value: Nice front desk staff, comfortable beds, quiet, good (Korean) breakfast included, extra water/drinks in rooms. The neighborhood has a variety of mom & pop restaurants (we enjoyed chimaek at the Dtobon Chicken Shop), an Emart, and a park.
I visited the Daejeon for a wedding, and the wedding reception was also held at the hotel. The reception itself was great - good staff and the food was excellent.
I also enjoyed the hot spring within the hotel, which was _fantastic_.
Excellent location, steps away from a subway station and walking distance from many restaurants, cafes and shops, with a park across the street. The included breakfast offered Korean and Western choices.
Compared to some other guesthouses I've stayed at, it was cleaner. It was my first time staying in a bunk room with other guests, but they were also respectful of the space. I had a great experience.
The staff was very polite and professional. The rooms were clean and the bed was fairly spacious (I’m 6’2”). I felt very comfortable with my stay. I would book again if I returned to Daejeon.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are very kind
And they are systematic like every thing in korea
Room is very clean and kitchen is enough for staying some days
This place has soooooo much character! I sincerely hope they don’t ever change. I absolutely loved staying here. It was the highlight of my visit to Daejeon!
