Petra is a great place to visit as it is one of the wonders of the ancient world. The moment we come out of siq( canyon type rock cut way) and see the Treasury , it has a magical experience. The Petra visit combined with Wadi Rum are excellent combination in souther Jordan- certainly worth visiting.

Stayed two nights but three would have been better.
Stayed two nights but three would have been better. We missed the evening hike due to other arrangements. Overall, great experience. We hired a driver to drop us off for the backdoor hike into Petra. Start early and it is really worth it.

Petra is breathtaking.
Petra is breathtaking. I cannot describe it more accurately. Little Petra is also a hidden Jewel.
The Petra museum is worthwhile to visit.
Petra by night did not meet my expectations (and perhaps of may others).

2023 update if you wanna travel on your own from Amman (not with an agency), best thing is to stay 1 night in Petra and 1 night in Wadi Rum, travel with JETT buses:
- take the 7 am JETT bus from Amman to Wadi Rum, arrive by 10.30 am
- walk around Petra the whole day. Bonus points for staying until sunset.
- take the JETT bus the next day at 11.30 am to Wadi Rum. Spend the day and watch the sunset, stargaze
- chill and do activities around the camp. Take the JETT bus to Amman at 5.00 pm
---
If you can, spend 2 nights in Petra. You can take it easier and you can do more hikes and see gorgeous views

Obviously went to Wadi Musa to visit Petra; for me, 1 full day in Petra was enough, but I was there for 14 hours, which can be a lot for most. If you want to take your time a bit more, or aren't too much in shape (there's a lot of hiking up and down), I would suggest 2 full days instead. I don't think there's much else to do in Wadi Musa than Petra really.
We were extremely happy with our stay at the Petra Corner Hotel. Its proximity to Petra and great restaurants was wonderful, and our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the dinner buffet was awesome with many options. Zeyad was great and helped us with all our needs. He had box lunches prepared for us, breakfast made when we came down late, and he even took us to a wonderful show, Henna Fantasia, where we learned a lot about Jordanian history and culture along with some lovely dancing. Highly recommend staying here!
The views from the terrace are lovely. The room was comfortable, though lacking in power outlets. Here are the prices of the services we received:
To-go breakfast: 5 JOD per person
Dinner: 13 JOD per person
30 minutes of machine washing time: 8 JOD
Local guide to Petra: “Around 80-85” but the guide will demand 95 JOD
Wadi Musa is a nice little town with great restaurants. You don’t need to eat at the guesthouse—spread your tourism dollars around! We highly recommend Falafel Time and Sana’a Yemen.
Check-in and check-out were very smooth with a friendly reception. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with all the amenities we could want. The air conditioning worked quite well. We ate breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant each day, and our entire group of six people thought the food was excellent, plentiful, and reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend the hotel to others, and would not hesitate to stay here again if ever I have the opportunity to return to Wadi Musa.
The guest house was very clean and well maintained.
This was my family's second visit to Petra and we stayed at an expensive hotel last time out. However, the Leen Guest house was FAR better than any hotel we have been to and is also a much better value for money. Also, the location is excellent and you can see the entire Wadi Musa from the terrace.
The hosts are also very friendly and accommodating!
We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Petra.
Super kind and polite staff, felt welcome from the first moment. Grest view from the room im the third floor (303) over Wadi Musa village. Very close by foot to various restaurants and bars. Delicious breakfast buffet. Many parking lots belonging to the hotel direcrly in front of the hotel entrance. Clean hotel comfortable bed and mattress. Variety of fruits, water and snacks in our room for free. Close to the entrance to Petra by car (3 minutes).
Great location, very close to Petra, but without crowds of tourists. We got upgraded room with panoramic view of Wadi Musa from one side and mountains from another. Very friendly staff in the reception of the hotel (I guess the owner) fluent english speaker. We received very helpful tips about best trails in Petra.
Mouthwatering food from the restaurant on the top of the hotel was a great award after entire day in Petra.
Hotel clean, Rooms spacious, comfortbale and good eqiupped. Hotel is located about 3 km distance From an entrance to Petra and 10 minutes walking distance to the center of Wadi Musa, where you can enjoy mounth-watering real jordanian cuisine. Breakfasts palatable and with a variety of choice so Everyone should Find sth for himself. Staff congenial and helpful. For a short 2 nights stay IT is definitely worth its price.
Very spacious, clean room with extremely comfortable beds. Ideal location in the middle of Wadi Musa close to restaurants for the evening and easy, safe street parking. Short drive to Petra (we had a rental but the hotel offers a shuttle as well). Excellent breakfast from 6am if you want to make the most of the day! Very hospitable hosts who could not have been more helpful. Extremely good value for money.
Extremely close to the Petra visitor center. Just a couple of minutes of walking and you are there. The breakfast buffet was excellent and if you want an early start at Petra the staff prepare a breakfast box for you to take with you. The property is clean and staff were excellent. If visiting Petra is your reason to be in Wadi Musa, you can’t go wrong with this hotel.
It's a pod hotel. The pods are comfortable, and have good mattresses. The staff is friendly and they offer meal options. It's very close to the gate for Petra. You can easily walk into the park. If you want to do Petra on a budget this is a solid option. There are a couple of other hostels in the area, but they have bunk beds. For my money, I'd rather have my own pod.
Very nice accommodation in Wadi Musa. Just 4 mins drive to Petra visitor center and the main amenities.
Rooms and the whole structure are nicely decorated and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel during our 1 night stay and the food was delicious. Breakfast was tasty, abundant with a lot of choices. Staff was nice and friendly
Very friendly and communicative manager. The room was basic but good value for money in a country where tourists are expected to pay a lot for everything. It is located at the main street of Wadi Musa, just 5 minutes by car from the entrance to Petra archeological park. It was easy to park just in front of the hotel, for free.
Amazing hotel,a few hundred meters away from visitor center, all new, sparkling clean, modern, big rooms, high tech.Beautiful view, spacious rooms.Food was very good and the staff extremely welcoming and friendly. One of the best hotels I ever stayed in.And all for a very good price.Couldnt recommend enough!!
We booked last minute after a cancelled room. It fit the bill for what we needed. It provided a clean room with breakfast. The host was torn between two hotels, but still managed to give us recommendations for dining and shopping etc.
Petra corner hotel is very close to Petra visitor centera and wadi musa center. The room was cozy and clean. They left us a basket with fruits, it was a kind detail. In general, we were happy with our stay in the hotel.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They helped booked our onward travel from Petra to Wadi Rum and arranged for us to be picked up from the hotel. Location is close to Petra entrance so ideal location
Excellent view of Wadi Musa, comfortable and cosy room, good breakfast and dinner. I have a food allergy (celiac) and the staff was very careful to accommodate me. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!
Mohammed the owner could not have been more helpful. The room had great views over Wadi Musa to Petra site. Fantastic sunset views. Public bus picked us up from hotel. A great stay!!
