There are much better place to stay in Sicily.
There are much better place to stay in Sicily. Acireale has very limited restaurants.. good for sea food lovers. Food was expensive! but not much varieties of Italian pizza and pasta! Views were good but Acireale is very quite and 25 minutes walk to the near place! No trains, trams and bus service! You have only two options to travel… walk or taxi. Sea looked beautiful but it was Rocky so I wasn’t comfortable to swim. Toarmina was good great. Avoid sea in Acireale. Go to south where you can find sandy beaches

We went with tow small kids 6 and 3 year olds. Lovely town! Not much happening during the day and almost everything closed between 13.00 & 16.30 for siesta so was limited to what you could do or eat during those hours. Nice atmosphere of the historical center, not crowded by tourists. Perfect location for visiting Etna, Catania, Taormina, Noto and other eastern seacost places. Probably not good destination for those who like spending holidays on beach.
