Fantastic little hamlet with a dash of everything Iceland...
Fantastic little hamlet with a dash of everything Iceland has to offer including hot springs, geysers, nature trails, waterfalls, swimming pools, warm lagoons, etc. The geothermal park was an unique and amazing experience.

The location is good at the beginning of South Iceland.
The location is good at the beginning of South Iceland. Everything we wanted to see was within 1h 40min drive. Still the small town has a big shop and the basic services that smaller places further out don't have (except Selfoss)

This location was truly magical.
This location was truly magical. It was quiet but close enough to amenities. The walks around our hotel were beautiful, including the walk to the village. Nearby you can do the mega zipwire and the hike to the hot river. We really enjoyed both of these activities. The town of Selfoss is busier and has some great restaurants, it's around 10 minute drive. We also visited the Lava Tunnel which is about 15 minutes away. However, this was pricey for what it was. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money as Iceland is expensive.

Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. Excellent hike to hot springs and geo thermal river for bathing - wasn't spoilt by being busy.
Are out one night at the pizza and brewery in town which was reasonably priced, delicious pizza and lively atmosphere.

There were lots of hiking and mountain biking trails.
There were lots of hiking and mountain biking trails. We encountered a LOT of little gnats. And by a lot, I mean swarms. They weren't bugging us constantly, but the hike based out of the icebike area, was brutal.
We stayed at Frost & Fire, which was sufficient. A bit run down, but a great base location.

It is a nice town with many interesting small restaurants...
It is a nice town with many interesting small restaurants and cafeterias. It has more trees than most of Iceland and can therefore be less windy. They also have nice short walking paths around the town that have very nice scenery.
The hotel is located in a remote area, but not far from town, which is ideal for watching northern lights. We saw it twice from hotel. There is a hot tub as well. Due to geothermal heating, the whole building, rooms and the floor is quite warm, which was really nice after a cold trip.
The breakfast was fantastic, however the same every day. Staff was very nice.
There are private bathrooms in the room, which is quite rare in Iceland. So for this price, it is incredible. We really loved it.
I thought that very comfortable beds were only possible in Austria, but no - The Greenhouse Hotel managed to beat any place I've stayed in so far. And there are lots of them. Then there are many lovely places to eat downstairs. And enough parking spaces for all guests. And special kudos goes to the WhatsApp group warning you about Northern Lights happening - it really helped us see the magic.
Loved Inni Apartments! Our favorite place we stayed in Iceland. Apartments were spacious and well decorated, had a cute kitchen, comfy bed and nice water pressure in the shower. Free parking right there too. We didn't use it but there was a hot tub. Also very clean! It's also in a very small and cute town, walkable to a great food hall at one of the hotels nearby.
The location could not have been better. We were surrounded by mountains with several geothermal vents and it was out of the hustle and bustle of the main city, which my partner and I appreciated. Having the hot tubs and outdoor pool, along with the sauna was an amazing bonus and, being a small hotel, there was always space within the facilities.
This hotel is amazing. it’s set in a perfect location beside a river. perfect for chilling out with 2 hot tubs, sauna and a small swimming pool. the rooms were excellent and very clean. the bar and restaurant had many pretty and unique ornaments and ceiling decorations. staff were very friendly and helpful- all
in all - perfect.
The self check in process was seamless. When the specific room type we were looking for was not available, the hotel owner even offered for us to receive complimentary breakfast at a nearby hotel to make up the difference. She's absolutely a joy to work with!
Wow! The Superior Apartment was gorgeous. We loved our stay there. My mom also had her own separate apartment that was quite spacious and pleasant. Right next door to a geothermal park. There's a hotel nearby with a nice restaurant.
The hotel was amazing. Especially for the price we paid! Great location, good food. We felt very welcomed. The employees were happy to answer all of our questions, and you can tell they like their job. I would definitely come back!
Our group stayed for one night in between tours. Nice clean hotel in great location. Rooms were nice size. Loved the layout of the reception area. Food hall downstairs is nice concept with a variety of food options.
Warm hot tub was nice along with the steam room. Breakfast was good. Hotel Just opposite the food hall so plenty of food options. Receptionist was very good at explaining the routes to the geothermal river
Clean and nice place in Hveragerdi near Reykjadalur Hot Springs. We didn't see anyone from the staff but everything worked out well. Parking by the entrance, keys and door code as instructed.
Great value hotel just off Highway 1 near Selfoss. Very clean, excellent breakfast, good location, great value! I've stayed here three times and will stay again on my next visit to Icleand.
The Greenhouse Hotel is super cool. I love the vibe of the place. The rooms are cute, the beds comfy. The store downstairs is well curated and fun to shop. The breakfast was delicious.
The location was great and the staff were lovely and helpful - food was nice and the hotel seemed clean - breakfast had great variety and Rooms were warm and spacious
