A good choice of breakfast and excellent waiting service from Nyima throughout our stay here. The green communal space is very serene and perfect for what we were looking for. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner most days under the poplar trees listening to bird songs.

Very clean, huge room, breakfast and dinner included, and very friendly staff - I liked all of it. The hotel seems new and is well kept up. Considering everything the hotel has to offer, the room rate is very fair.

Most visitors to Leh prefer to stay longer to tour the valleys nearby. We went during the off-season and the main reason was to get away from the Delhi chaos over a weekend. So Leh served its purpose for us. The main market area has good cafes, restaurants and shops. Shanti Stupa is also present in Leh. Good vibes nothing less. Leh has a large Indian Army presence so we felt very safe and secure :)

Scenic views all around with the most amazing people!
Scenic views all around with the most amazing people! Momos were my favourite local dish that you can find at most restaurants. Love that Leh is more pedestrian friendly and quiet compared to the rest of India. Perfect destination for relaxation.

Its always in the bucket list of most Indians. Has the highest motorable roads, its a paradise for adventure seekers, highest saltwater lake, cold desert, treacherous roads, borders mof two neighbouring countries. Its a must visit place.

I was expecting a little more of the city.
I was expecting a little more of the city. The market is nice, I had some fine food, but the streets and sidewalks are too disorganized, there are signs "don't walk alone in the dark because of the stray dogs" (?!?!?), it's pretty smoggy and conservation in general is lacking. Came by bicycle through the Manali-Leh road, which was amazing, but the city itself wasn't a highlight of the trip.

Amazing place.
Amazing place. Beautiful city, the cleanest place in India I've ever seen . The old city definitely worth visiting and walking around. Good tibetian food is everywhere and also nice souvenirs, like essence and stones.
Felt like that's one of the best places in India to be if you're looking for a pure energy, clean space and peaceful environment.

Leh. What a beauty.
Leh. What a beauty.
The Road after Manali is good till Jispa and then till Sarchu is also good. Post Sarchu the administration forgot to build roads till Pang. It is sheer hell for 4to5 hours of driving time (Sarchu to Pang).
Khardung-la pass weather in first week of June was not good. The Police check-post at South Pull, had a rude Policeman and they didn't allow our 4x4 Fortuner to cross-over and go to Nubra/Hunder. We missed out on these places and lost money on hotel booking (4 rooms). We were so disturbed due to this setback that we spent 10,000 to buy anti-skid chains for our car, and for another car (8K). All went to waste.
Beauties on this trip - Jispa, next to a river bed. Walkable from Hotel. Amazing. Mighty passes - Chang-la, Taglang-la, Baralacha-la, Zoji-la (we came back via Srinagar), Nakee-la and many more.
We changed plan to return via Srinagar on hearing news of avalanche on Leh-Manali road. This costed us 1 more day. But it was seamless journey. Srinagar finding hotel on spot was big challenge. Big Big challenge. Suggest to book online 1 day in advance if planning to come via Srinagar.
More plains were good. Pangong was a beauty (very cold one though). Coldest place on the Trip was Pangong. We used Warmers (top & bottom) in June at Pangong plus 2-3 more layers. Still after coming from toilet took 20 mins to warm up again at night.
We loved the Marmouths (biggest squirrel just like a teddy bear) on way to Pangong.
We loved the ShantiStupa. The cafe there serves sea buckthorn juice, apricot juice, thukpa. Loved them all.
Stayed in hotels - Chospa, Silk Route. Both were good. Chospa is ultra-premium, Silk route is budget friendly luxury. At Pangong stayed at Pangong Delight Cottages.
Anu and Arnab are awesome hosts, they helped us with all information, services and bookings we needed to make our family trip to Ladakh comfortable.
They are a 1 stop shop for all needs in Ladakh.
As I was traveling with two small kids, the information they shared about Leh and Ladakh was very helpful and kept my family happy and healthy..
Throughout our stay we were constantly asked if we were doing well and if we needed any help.
They are constantly trying to uplift the snow lion hotel and I wish them all the best for their journey.
I got altitude sickness upon arrival. All the staff were very attentive and helpful. The landlady was very caring and made sure that I was alright and genuinely helped among other staff. The owner also helped me to get permits to visit places in and around Leh and organised for me to go on trips with a local driver/ guide who was amazing.
I had most of my meals at the hotel and everything I ordered was nice.
The whole city is pretty safe so no worries there.
Walk to shops is about 5 minutes. to the main market is about 10 minutes.
The amazing views from the terrace while having breakfast, exceptionally big and clean washrooms, happening lobby space with games and amphitheatre, and quiet office space.
Yuvraj, with an amazing playlist and cheerful attitude keeps the energy high in the lobby.
The staff treated us like family. Yogesh, a well informed and budding standup comedian gave us a mind blowing tour of the nearby areas. Being an explorer himself, he is well informed of all the places to visit around Leh.
Overall, a memorable experience for life ✌️
breakfast was sumptuous, a mix of continental and Indian cuisine. Always on time, the breakfast was prepared keeping the taste requirements of all guests - wasn't spicy at all.
Location - scores more on this count. One request to the hotel administration, the approach to this hotel and a few other properties nearby is via a muddy road, there's no proper road there. I hope by our next visit there would either be a government road, or the hotel admin would work towards laying a road in the almost 500metres upto the road.
The hotel's personnel demonstrated exceptional dedication in ensuring guests' comfort during their stay. The overall management was commendable, and guests could easily book taxis or rent bikes/scooters. Additionally, electricity was available round the clock, and the Indian cuisine served at the hotel was delectable. Furthermore, the hotel's proximity to the main market (Mall Road) was a plus, as it was within walking distance.
Lastly, visitors could also purchase fresh Ladakhi cookies from nearby shops.
One of the best choices for my stay during my Ladakh trip, the owner is super helpful and helped me plan my trip itinerary and find me good deals for cabs and all other places.
Mountain view from the room is really nice to glance through! The staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Adjacent to Leh Main Market, Jig Gyas guest house is a really recommended place to plan your budget stay in Leh.
no frills, simple facilities, just what you really need. comfy bed, clean beddings and clean toilet. very well located property. close to nice cafes and eateries and general stores. its on a slightly busy road, a part of the new main market of leh. so its well connected by road; but at little distance (will need a bike/car- hey...you're in leh) to get to the city centre- the old MAIN market.
Sonam...the owner is a nice person...helped in organising the trip for us and at reasonable rates by leh standards. He also got the bed gadda changed and arranged for a hard bed. He even gave us a room heater as it was cold but at relatively high prices....we were charged Rs500/- a day for the heater whereas we had paid only Rs 100/- extra perday for the heater at tawang six months back
Lhachik Guest House is a homestay in Leh, run by a local family. It's in a good, quiet location, it has a great viewing terrace up top, the rooms are big and clean, but above all it really gives a great insight into life in Leh for a Ladakhi family.
The owners couldn't be nicer, they're ready to help no matter what and, above all, they prepare some AMAZING FOOD for next to nothing.
Overall property is good and good inner view and near to main market, staff Specially Mr Vijay and owner Arif is very supportive.
however the hotel entrance is quite small and with stairs, no parking at all. Budget hotel and be double cautious while booking via Booking.com as for this hotel they add service charge, which should not be there in India
really chill and friendly vibes - lovely people. super easy to meet other travelers. ended up staying here three times between road trips and treks around Ladakh - felt very secure leaving my big luggage behind. Nice staff & adorable puppy. Only a 10min walk to the main Bazaar, very convenient. great mountain views from the terrace.
My daughter and I enjoyed our time in Leh. The hotel staff was incredibly thoughtful and friendly, and made arrangements for a driver who spoke English and took us to many beautiful places. Coming back to the hotel after a day of site seeing was comforting- warm room with a cup of tea and a sunny window to view the mountains.
We had a lovely stay at the Thangkop House. The whole family was always friendly and happy to have us and help us with making plans in Ladakh. Breakfast was always good and also gave some variety and insight into local culture.
It was an amazing stay at Heschuk, rooms are well spacious, clean and the view from the room was breath taking. Must stay if anyone is planning to visit ladakh. Walking distance from market and great hospitality
Tha accomodation was absolutely amazing. Service was great, they took great care of us and everyone here is so friendly. We also got good tips for out trips in Ladakh. 100% recommendation!
I like everything about this hostel, staff, maintainance, ambience, facilities and cleanliness. Perfect for travellers and also it is very near to Leh Palace and Leh Main Market.
A wonderful stay in Leh with above and beyond first class service and some of the best food in Ladakh.
I felt truly welcomed, supported and very much at home.
good location , a few minutes drive from airport, and all other touristic attractions in ladakh . hotel recently renovated and rooms clean and comfortable .
