Don’t miss the palace in the fort and the temple just outside the fort (saas bahu temple). Also make it a point to visit Mitawli and Padavali
There is no public transport… best is to hire a cab for the day

I have stayed in Gwalior four times over the last ten years.
I have stayed in Gwalior four times over the last ten years. The Gwalior Fort is one of the most impressive I have seen and a very rewarding visit. I have used Gwalior as a base for visits to other historic sites around Morena and Orchha, which have been a couple of my favorite destinations within driving distance from Delhi.

The fort was very good.
The fort was very good. However, the guide spent less time with us. There are other structures that are architecturally very good and one must not miss like the saas bahu temple, the surya temple and the saas bahu temple. The food in Gwalior is average.

I've been to Gwalior twice.
I've been to Gwalior twice. I've not found much charm in the city itself but the Fort and Temples within the fort walls are magnificent. Interesting Jain statues carved into the mountainside on the vehicle approach side to the fort. If I were to go back I'd be interested in walking the ramparts of the outer fort wall.
The Taj and the Neemrana are two excellent heritage hotels to choose from in Gwalior.
A two hour drive south is the city of Orchha, which has become one of my favorite places that I've visited in India because of its rich inventory of temples, chatris and forts, all located within a lovely and peaceful rural setting.
I loved my room
I come in this hotel a few times a year, this time I got room with separate dressing . As I have multiple suitcases for staying a month, this gave me more space and calmness in the room , therefore peace in the head
I also appreciated the ironing facilities
As always breakfast is the best of my month stay travelling allover india .
I also love the Farzi cafe on rooftop , nice setting & great food
Keep it up and see you next time
Worst hotel pics shown in ur website totally differed with actual which was very dirty, stinking with most dirty beds, linen & pillows & cover poor service AC, to not working bathroom dirty & stinking & not usable no WiFi in room no proper parking no food they used to supply on demand from nearby restaurants no breakfast given. FAB HOTELS are totally false and fraud should be banned we are going to escalate the issue in Facebook
The staff was very welcoming and polite. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel which were very delectable. There were many vegetarian and non vegetarian food options in the buffet dinner especially on the Christmas eve.
We also requested for extra blankets which was well attended.
Overall we had a very comfortable and a pleasant stay at this property.
Would recommend this hotel for stay in Gwalior.
As one comes to expect of a Taj Hotel, the service is superb. The immaculately maintained property is architecturally rich environment that is a treat to ones senses. Gwalior is a destination very worth visiting. After a day of exploring forts, temples and gurdwaras, the lounge/bar Taj is a wonderful place to return to and the bartender knows how to make a proper gimlet!
I enjoyed everything about my stay at Dera Haveli - it provided a quiet haven from the noise and chaos of the busy streets of this neighbourhood. There's a wonderful view of the Gwalior Fort from the Hotel's rooftop. The staff were great, very polite and helpful - breakfast, and actually all the food I had on site was fantastic.
The hotel is located right opposite to the train station, even then the rooms are very quite. The terrace with each room is super. Breakfast was also good. Although they dont have their own pool, they arranged transport for us to the RadissonBlu Hotel nearby and use the pool there. Worth the cost.
Don't promote such bad and cheating hotel. What's showing in photos are false. I didn't stay.I paid Rs.271 partially for confirmation out of Rs 543.At time of checking they demanded extra Rs 700. So I denied. Kindly refund my amount otherwise I will never prefer Oyo hotels.
I visited this Hotel with my friends. And we loved it and the staff here cares a lot about their guests and we got that care too. The room dining service here is very nice and I want to thank the person who is leading the room dining from my heart. very nice service thank you.
Great location, very helpful and polite staff, and delicious food as well. The room was quite comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities. A very good hotel for its price and easily accessible via cabs too. It's worth recommending, overall.
The cleanest bed that we had in our whole 25-day trip in India. The room was big. Good shower, table inside and outside for eating. Good view of gwalior fort from roof. Good staff. Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Calm and quiet. Good neighborhood
We really enjoyed alot..stay was good…room was good..staff was very nice….food was best. Specially breakfast really enjoyed…my kids enjoyed alot…must visit again and again
