Gorgeously warm room on a really cold January night!
Located in Waterford, 4.6 miles from Reginald's Tower, Greenway Manor Hotel has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.
The location was great and staff were very friendly
Waterford surprised us. The museums are great, we enjoyed especially the Bishop's palace. All the people we interacted with were very nice, kind and helpful. The Waterford people and city council have done a great job in this last 10 years. We will go again

I liked the fact that staff changed me to another room when I complained about the noise of the boiler. However the room we stayed in was freezing and this was February and it was cold.
The staff need to be a bit flexible about breakfast times. The receptionist would not accept that we would come down between 9.30 and 10am or even at 10 minutes to 10am. She said that we had to give her an exact time to book the table! We said 10.am, which she accepted but when we got to breakfast the tables were cleared and staff said that we could have a cooked breakfast only. We stood our ground given the night we had and we did get the breakfast we would have got had she allowed us to come down at 9.45am. We got a strong impression was that it was all about what was convenient for the staff as opposed to looking after the customer. Such a pity.

I moved to Dublin earlier this year.
I moved to Dublin earlier this year. I've been to most Irish cities at this point. I decided to get out of Dublin for the night and came to Waterford on fairly short notice.
Perhaps it was the (rare) nice weather, but Waterford is now one of my favorite cities in Ireland and was the perfect place *for me* to spend ~24 hours. Note that I usually race around from the moment of arrival to the moment of leaving, so others might enjoy all that Waterford has to offer - King of The Vikings VR experience, the Time Museum, the Irish Wake museum, some silly crystal place (albeit with an impressive company store,) Constitution Square, the Medieval Museum, Bishops Palace Museum, the Silver Museum, the river bank, building murals, etc. - for two or three days.
By the way, several of those museums can be seen for one ~15-euro pass, easily bought online the day of arrival (such as I did!) There might be even cheaper options; check before you go! I'm not a museum person, but even I enjoyed everything above. https://visitwaterford.com/vw_news/waterford-treasures-launches-freedom-of-waterford-tour/
I stayed at the Waterford Marina hotel which offered a great view of the river, albeit for 160 USD for my one night there. (Did I mention I decided to go with almost no notice? This was what was available!)

Drizzle rain and rain can happen, be prepared, it is Ireland. Lots of Touristy things to do if you like doing those things. Cost of regular clothing is inexpensive and easily obtained. The pints at The Exchange were 4.60 euro, a very good price. Tipping is not expected and does not show up on tap readers or bills. There is construction throughout Ireland however if the country side is your calling, it is not far away and is very, very enchanting.

Waterford City has a harbour front which is lined with parking and the highest rated hotels in the area (Granvilles, The Tower Hotel etc.) which all provide nice places to eat and drink. There are a number of museums in the area, one of the newest being the Wake Museum which is quirky as it's all about how the Irish celebrate death and features costumed staff so is well worth a visit.

Don’t be in a hurry to leave Waterford!
Don’t be in a hurry to leave Waterford! There are so many wonderful places and exhibits to enjoy, from the museum to Waterford glass, to the Viking trail…. and the Tower Hotel is the perfectly placed base for all these and more… and I mustn’t forget to mention the friendly local people too. Enjoy!
I've stayed here several times and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. Also good to see the covid regulations were being followed, which can't be said for all places. The hotel is in a very central location across the street from the bus station and a few minutes walk to the city centre. Parking is available on the quay and costs about 6-7 euro for 24 hours.
The staff in the main restaurant were so attentive and polite .They cleaned everything after every guest to a very high standard. The quality of the food in this restaurant was also great. It felt like a 5 star hotel in there. The breakfast selection was also very good.
The Hotel location was suburb easy to access and explore the city and the greenway.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very welcoming. Nice quiet location, but near the city centre. Room facilities (tea/coffee making, good sized TV etc...) were hotel standard. Nice view from my room window. Good choice at breakfast (I wasn't expecting breakfast, didn't realise it was included).
Beautiful old hotel. Enjoyed the bar lounge for dinner. Great service. Breakfast in the main dinner room was very good. It’s a short distance for Waterford but allowed us a chance to rest on vacation
Spacious four bed three bathroom house in grounds of exclusive golf hotel. Perfect secluded setting, but within easy drive into Waterford city centre. Great kitchen with full facilities in utility room.
Lovely location, Excellent meals and a great Irish Breakfast. Staff could not be more accommodating. Would have stayed another night but unfortunately Hotel was booked out. Would definitely stay again.
Very easy check-in. We required a triple room which was large enough and had everything that we required. The hotel is conveniently placed which allowed us to walk into the city centre. Well priced.
The Mews are run by the hotel, meaning you get access to all the hotel facilities, which is great. Spacious mews is definitely better than a family room with kids and having own kitchen was great.
The room was very large. The tv was mounted crooked on the wall which just seemed odd. It is an older hotel right on the water with great views. The restaurant food was good with large portions.
Clean and well appointed room. Convenient to train station, city centre, and Waterford Greenway. Complimentary breakfast. Food at the in-hotel restaurant is good. Smart TV in the room.
The hotel staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Live music at the bar, lovely ,breakfast in the morning, and a comfortable stay. Holly at the front desk is a gem.
The staff were exceptional, a 5 star service for the entirety of my stay! The food and drinks were delicious and the hotel itself was very clean with great facilities.
The location of the hotel was near all the historic attractions. All the staff were friendly and helpful. From the hotel to the city centre was within 10 minutes walk.
Cozy hotel, rooms were comfortable, bar/restaurant had fantastic food and was a nice place to relax after a day of wandering around New Ross, Waterford, and Wexford!
