The location of this apartment was spot on!
The location of this apartment was spot on!
Right in the heart of the city centre, walking distance to the train station and all the shops, bars and restaurants.
Sitting on the tiny balcony in the morning for coffee or evening for a glass of wine was very nice. So many great restaurants are in the area and the standard of food is very good.
Over the past 5 years we have seen so many changes to the City, Every time we visit, there are new restaurants and coffee shops, renovated walkways, and gardens. The architecture of the buildings is beautiful although there are now so many newly built modern flats being built too.
What I love the most about Debrecen is the quietness. The tram system is so efficient there are less cars & pollution. I always feel healthier when I'm here.
Visit the zoo & Lake Tisza.
I would definitely recommend this city and the apartment we stayed in.

Debrecen seems like a nice chilled place to be.
Debrecen seems like a nice chilled place to be. People are polite and respectful. there are things to do and visit. I would definitely recommend visiting the Deri Museum and Reformed College where lovely staff took me around to show and tell, a special thank you to Zsuzsanna, who accompanied me throughout my visit as i was the only visitor then and i loved it. We also visited Aquaticum and Thermal Baths, and had a ride on the steam train, lovingly called Zsuzsi Vonat by locals.
If you get tired of being there, venture off to Eger, amazing historical city 2.5hrs away from Debrecen by bus, or for more thermal baths head to Hajduszoboszlo, 30 min away by bus. For a nature fix, go to the Hortobagy National Park which is around 1 hour away by bust but worth the visit.
Debrecen may seem a little too quite, i don't wanna say boring, at times, but it grows on you and wins you over with its provincial charm.

I live here for 9 months each year, I love Debrecen, in the city centre everything you need is no more than 1000 metres away, the shopping facilities are excellent and the flower festival in august is a " do not miss " activity.

We chose Debrecen because it was at a perfect distance from Nyíregyháza Zoo (1 hour away) and Hajdúszoboszló Spa (30 minutes away), so we didn't really had time to visit the city, but we stayed at a hotel near the historical center of the city and what we've seen was nice. Also my wife and my daughter bought a lot of clothes easier and cheaper than Pandorf.
The apartment is a "work of art". You come for the city and you don't want to leave the location! It should be included in "must see places in Debrecen". The pictures reflect too little of what you see with your own eyes: style, details, cleanliness, comfort, superlative. The host, on the same note, always on hand to solve any problem. I heartily recommend the location, there is nothing more beautiful! Kudos to the hosts for their wonderful ideas and hospitality 😀 !
Excellent small family pension with an inner courtyard. Excellent location and a short walk will bring you to the main attractions. The Aquaticum and the swimming pools are also nearby, but you can also get there by tram. The facility is very tidy, the bathrooms are clean. If you bring food with you, consume it on the ground floor and keep it in the refrigerator, otherwise you risk ants.
This was a decent hotel in the close proximity to the airport. We have arrived there in the afternoon and checked out at 4 am. There was a play ground just near the premises, the lady at the reception was kind to arrange crib for our 14 months old baby. There was a supermarkets just around the corner. We had a lovely dinner and the service was good and friendly. The room was clean.
This property has a large, walled-in garden with plenty of things to do including hot tub, pool, exploring, fire pits and a pond. It is ideal if you have a pet and children. Plus you are short drive form anything you want/need in Debrecen. If you are looking for a venue that is nicer than camping but a bit less than a hotel, this place is for you.
This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. It couldn't be more centrally located in Debrecen, yet I could find parking space easily in front of the building. The rooms are really spacious, clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was OK, the wifi worked well. Altogether I would happily return.
The room was really neat, comfy, the bed was nice, we slept well for 5 nights, and there were everything we needed. It's so nice to have a little kitchen and a fridge. The location is very great, near a tram stop, the neighbourhood is nice too. I will choose here to stay again when I visit Debrecen next time.
The location is excellent for the purpose of the travel, just opposite to Aquaticum Debrecen entrance. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were also excellent, the personnel who served us was very polite and friendly. I recommend the location.
Nice, cosy apartment close to the city centre and Zoo/Aquaticum. You have everything you need:washing machine, dishwasher, toaster etc (just like in the pictures).
Free parking, good coffee included 😊. Shops, bakery in the nearby. Silent area, highly recommend
Very beatiful boarding house in the broader center of the city that offers you shelter from the street noise. Food is local and the stuff is great. One receptionist speaks Croatian, so that might be helpful to people that come from Hungary's southern neighbours.
We really enjoyed the apartment, it was perfect for our weekend trip to the Aquapark in Debrecen. It was equipped with everything we needed - especially the common area that was very spacious and comfortable. A plus: many parking spaces nearby.
Superb thermal baths, a lot of temperature choices (20, 28, 33, 35, 38 and 40 °Celsius), exterior thermal pool, large and warm room, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and diner, direct acces to Aquaticum Mediterranean Experience.
Quite decent breakfast, except coffee - it's really bad but it's common for all hotels so not surprised
Big rooms, comfy beds, clean sheets, kitchen in the room, bath instead of shower
Cheap parking
Really good experience; perfect location close to everything, nice atmosphere, very cozy and clean! 😊
The host is very nice and helpful person!
Great place to stay in Debrecen!!
The hotel is beautiful, offers excellent conditions. The staff is kind, the breakfast very varied and tasty. The conditions at the SPA and the fitness room are very good.
Great small hotel 15 min walk from the center of Debrecen. You get excellent clean room, good breakfast, and outdoor swimming pool with a nice lawn. What else?:)
Quite new hotel, the room was nice and comfortable and also breakfast included. Parking in the hotel courtyard was very much available at the time of our stay.
