Definitely need a car to get around this area.
Definitely need a car to get around this area. Not quite the luxury I was looking for. Accomodation and breakfast where I stayed was fairly basic. Quite limited in eating out options too.
Managed to walk the Pen y Fan which was the highlight of my stay here.

Nice town with some lovely places to go for a drink and a bite to eat. Friendly bar with live music at the weekend. Also there is a Wetherspoon. The Zip World was only a 30 min drive away and is fantastic. Great scenery and walks near by.

Only stayed 2 days and then was at an event so not enough time to explore. However on an evening plenty of places to eat and drink. Tesco Extra and range of other shops incl. Saturday street market. Train and bus transport hub, and plenty of places to explore a short distance away.

Liked the fact it has good public transport links to the Brecon Beacons the town itself looks a bit run down in places like many these days but had everything we needed with lots of things to do nearby. We enjoyed climbing Corn Du, Pen Y Fan, visiting Lyn Cwm Llwch, walking along parts of the Taff Trail, visiting The Brecon Mountain Railway, Cyfarthfa Castle and park as well as things further a field.

Centre -lovely trails and views.
Also the Brecon Beacons were within easy reach.
We ate at Nant Ddu the first night and shared 3 tasty side dishes between us.
Not too far from 3 near locations where my Dad was born and lived in Penwhriceiber, Cefn Pennar and Mountain Ash. Able to visit as near.
The house was perfect for what we needed.
Lovely and clean.
Communication from the owner was brilliant with clear instructions for contactless check-in.
The security was brilliant, especially with us bringing bikes as we were attending Bike Park Wales.
Lovely comfy beds and the house had all the little facilities that you forget you need but really appreciate.
Cannot recommend enough and will be staying here in future rather than using a chain hotel we usually stay with.
I stayed in the Bee Hive MT flat with my two boys during a trip to Bike Park Wales. Outstanding accommodation and service from Mark, who met us to hand over the keys and show us around the flat. We arrived late and he provided advice on where to eat and called ahead to one place which was very kind of him. The washer and dryer are excellent, the apartment is spacious and clean, there is off street parking and the location is bang in town. 5 stars!
First impression on entering the hotel, was....oh gosh this is lovely. All areas were very clean. Decoration immaculate throughout. Staff very friendly, very polite and welcoming. Reasonable priced drinks at the bar. Bedrooms very spacious with a good sized bathroom, with an amazingly powerful shower over the bath. I would recommend this Hotel to all who are visiting the area we will be returning that's for sure.
Fantastic location for what we were in the Brecon's for - hiking. Extremely easy to find and check in was stress free. Rooms were very spacious, clean and the amenities were great (especially the bath's in every room we had, full of cold water after a long day in the mountains!). Great breakfast and stroll down to the beautiful reservoir in the morning. Highly recommend!
Restaurants food was exceptional. Carvery was same as other carveries in major chains but all food appeared to be home made. We gave the hotel restaurant a go on night 1 and went back again night 2. Staff were really friendly when you could find them as they all multitasked. Room size was great, both our rooms had double and single beds in.
Great location. The hotel was very clean and safe. The staff were very friendly and obliging. We used the indoor pool, steam room, spa and sauna under their conditions which were only 6 people in total in the facility and only 2 people at one time in any one facility. The food was excellent, plenty of choices for dinner and plentiful.
lovely and clean house with safe off street parking and space to lock up our bikes (we came to visit Bike Park Wales) the house is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. handy shop a stones throw away for Milk and other essentials. great communication from the friendly hosts prior to our visit.
The room was very spacious, had a lovely ensuite too! There was a slight issue but the owners were super helpful so can't critisze them for that! There was onsite parking and it was a short drive to lots of great walks/activities. Breakfast was gorgeous! And the bed was something of a dream :)
excellent clean modern rooms with everything you might need. The staff were more than welcoming and were very accomodating to some problems we had. Lovely area and close to the places we needed including bike park Wales. Plenty of places to eat around the area, we very much enjoyed our stay.
Lovely and unique decor, very clean, quiet and a pleasant stay, glyceryl convenient. I’ve stayed in hotels that usually costs hundreds of pounds per night and yet for a mere fraction of that price I had a much witter stay here. I definitely recommend it to all who think about staying there.
Lovely quiet location. Warm, clean and well equipped. Lynne has thought of everything. I visit bike park Wales regularly and have definitely found the perfect base. I won't be using hotels again. The shed exceeded my expectations and as a lone traveller it also felt very safe.
We stayed for 2 nights to visit Bike Park Wales. The owners were super friendly and welcoming, they went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and modern and the food was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
