Tir y Coed Country House is a haven of peace and tranquility, nestled in over an acre of mature landscaped gardens. On the edge of Rowen, one of the Conwy Valley's most delightful villages, the Tir y Coed is within the boundaries of the Snowdonia National Park. The far-reaching views from Rowen extend to the magnificent mountains beyond. The medieval walled town of Conwy is just 4 miles away, as is the coast. The house has many large windows, filling it with a warm, bright and welcoming light. All of the bedrooms are beautifully appointed and individually designed, with luxurious fabrics and attention to detail ensuring that each room becomes the perfect retreat. All rooms have a TV, refreshment tray, clock radio and an immaculate private bathroom or shower room.

Small and perfectly formed, Tir y Coed is the perfect romantic break. We have just seven guest bedrooms, all ensuite, including two suites and a ground floor room for those less able to get up the stairs. They are all fitted with large comfortable beds, luxurious feather and down duvets and fluffy white towels. Most beds are superking though many can be configured as twins if required. All are individually furnished to the very highest standards, with interiors designed to soothe and pamper, blending period elements with the very latest modern comforts. None of the rooms are at all overlooked: you can leave your curtains open as wide as you like and only the occasional squirrel will ever be the wiser. All rooms have TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and there is, of course, superfast wifi throughout.
Your hosts here are Chris and Sandra, whose career in London was as a food stylist and recipe author. These days she concentrates on maintaining a quiet and soothing atmosphere at Tir y Coed, though her inner chef comes out when sourcing local ingredients; preparing home-made bread, preserves and cereals for breakfast. Food is served at the traditional village pub which is a five minute stroll away and Chris tends a well-stocked bar that leads onto a glorious balcony overlooking the gardens and mountains; a perfect place for a gin and tonic, whilst listening to the birds and taking in the magnificent views and planning your next few days of adventure. We are only too pleased to help you make the most of your break, advise on the best walks and impart local knowledge: we love to entertain.
Tir y Coed is situated in the village of Rowen, just inside the Snowdonia National Park and four miles from the World Heritage town of Conwy. The house enjoys far reaching views of Rowen, the most picturesque village in the Conwy Valley, extending to the magnificent Carneddau mountains beyond where you can walk along pilgrim trails and historic routes built by Roman legionaries in the years of occupation. The imposing Conwy Castle guards the North Wales coast, a stunning medieval fortification with glorious views over the harbour and Conwy's narrow streets. It's at the heart of a string of beaches on a gloriously unspoiled coastline. The spectacular Bodnant Gardens are four miles away from Tir y Coed, while Snowdonia national park is on it’s doorstep, with plenty of hiking and walking opportunities. Adrenalin junkies are superbly served here: an inland surf lagoon at Surf Snowdonia, and there's the world's fastest zipline at Zip World.
