A beautiful little town with plenty to explore!
A beautiful little town with plenty to explore! Tintern Abby was the main attraction I wanted to see. It was brilliant and I would have liked to see a bit more than I did. Definitely will book another trip sometime and give myself at least two days to explore the area and its history properly.

Lovely location in Wye valley.
Lovely location in Wye valley. Tintern Abbey well worth a visit (just a pity most of the church isn't accessible at the moment due to conservation work). Pleasant, though steep walk to Devil's Pulpit and Offa's Dyke. Lovely short walk to Old Tintern Railway Station and this is definitely worth a visit.

Tintern is a small village alongside the river Wye just in Wales, the Abbey is very interesting and there are a number of tea shops and craft centres, the old railway station is a must, also good for walking
The location was incredible! The photos do not do it justice. 2 minute drive to Tintern Abbey and a lovely pub with a park and field for the kids to play in.
All instructions were left for appliances and general things including what to do in the local area.
Use of towels, bedding, cleaning products and even cutlery & crockery were perfect and made everything so much easier. It was definitely a home from home and we will be back again.
Barry and Sue were absolutely lovely, friendly and welcoming hosts. Both the hotel and our room were to notch and immaculate. Handy and ample parking to the side of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and excellent quality. Dinner was a gastronomic delight. Hubby had the fish and chips and I had the Brie and mushroom Wellington. Situated in an absolutely beautiful part of Wales. Highly recommend and thank you. 😊
We stayed in a room with a super size bed which was very comfortable and the shower was perfect with lots of hot water. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious, as was the breakfast. There was a coffee shop in the hotel which was very welcome after a long journey. Tintern is a lovely little village with the attraction of the famous Abbey. It was our half way stop for our holiday in Pembrokeshire.
It's a beautiful old building. Very nicely decorated, has this feeling of a cute dollhouse. The lady owner is very nice and friendly. There was no option to book a breakfast but we received muesli and milk instead, which is a nice touch. Good quality bathroom cosmetics, warm water. Old Rectory is nicely located, close to Tintern Abbey and lovely walking paths. Amazing place for some photoshoots.
Shepherds Delight is an amazing, well designed shepherds hut in beautiful surroundings with everything needed to make your stay perfect. The location is great for breathtaking walks and not too far to walk for Tintern Abbey. A gorgeous log burner is perfect for those chilly evenings with plenty of wood, or there's an outdoor firepit for those long summer evenings.
Beautiful view over the river. Good facilities, everything you could want in an apartment. Comfy and cosy. Great pub very near just along the road to the left, plus a little village shop. Plenty of walks to enjoy and a couple of choices of where to eat at the end of each day. Easy to find and park thanks to clear directions from hosts. Would definitely recommend.
This is a really special guesthouse, beautifully furnished with so many lovely details and a cosy lounge with log burner. Marta and her husband were really friendly and the breakfast was so tasty and we loved the homemade bread and musli's. Set in a steep hilled valley, next to the river Wye and a short walk from Tintern Abbey, its a lovely spot.
right in the village, it is on a main road so there is no getting away from that. Parking available which was great. walkable to pubs and Tintern Abby. Lots of pubs and restaurants in such a small place. Lovely views of the river.
Flat a good size, bed comfortable all you really need. Hosts were very helpful and friendly.
Lovely hotel , very comfortable room with a doggie bed for Freddie and a little gift box for him , a lovely touch .
Freddie’s scrambled egg was delivered to our room at night , his usual supper to accompany his chicken .
You really are a dog friendly hotel . Well done
Very comfortable, well appointed room with bath and view. Staff very friendly. Fires in the bar/restaurant made for a warm, welcoming place to spend the evening. Dinner and breakfast were superb. Despite being on the only road through Tintern it was a quiet location.
Great location with plenty of parking. Bar on site with a nice selection of beers, whiskeys, Gins and more. Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice comfortable rooms and amazing breakfast included. Also great food served at the pub. Plenty to see and do in Tintern too.
The Hotel was a couple minutes drive from Tintern Abby. There were restaurants up and down the road to see Tintern.
We had an excellent dinner at thge Hotel also. This is a repeat place to go. The Wye Valley is knockout ( all adjectives apply).
Lovely home, with nice touches such as fresh flowers cut from the garden, plenty of fluffy towels and toiletries. Lovely view from terrace and super gracious host who offered great advice for local walks and pubs.
Great location, close to Tintern Abbey and the river.
The room was clean, beds very comfortable and the setting of the hotel was beautiful.
Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff were very attentive.
Well presented, clean and tidy, comfortable with everything you need for a break. Great location for visiting Tintern, the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Plenty of places close by for food and drinks.
Very convenient to Tintern Abbey, shopping and walking. Our room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We had a wonderful dinner and a delicious breakfast the next morning.
