Welcome to The Green Parrot hosted by Becky and Luke. Our B&B is a 17th century house located in the centre of the historical market town of Devizes. Part of our Grade II listed building has been tastefully transformed into 2 individually designed bedrooms with all the modern amenities you’d expect. Green Parrot House has had many names and been many things……an antique shop before that a pub. In the 40’s it was a tearoom called Green Parrot Tearooms. We loved the name so much we decided to bring it back for our B&B. Shopping local is important to us at The Green Parrot and the area boasts a host of artisan producers for us to choose from. You‘ll find your breakfast basket stuffed full of all the deliciousness Wiltshire has to offer. We also try to be as environmentally conscious as possible. In our bathrooms you will find complementary toiletries in refillable bottles and biodegradable ear buds. Washable glasses are provided instead of plastic cups. Our breakfast baskets contain reusable containers and wraps helping us to cut down on single use plastic. Do you have an electric car? We have a Pod Point EV car charger available for our on site parking.

Often referred to as Wiltshire's hidden gem, Devizes is a medieval market town in the centre of Wiltshire just north of Salisbury Plain, 16 miles from Stonehenge, 8 miles from Avebury and 20 miles from Bath. The building of a castle in Norman times dictated the layout of the town which is still visible in the ‘D’ shape plan today, now containing over 500 listed buildings, 250 shops, 50 Heritage Plaques, 50+ eating places and tea shops, 14 traditional pubs, 3 ancient churches, 2 museums, the spectacular Caen Hill flight of canal locks and a working Victorian (Wadworth) brewery that runs tours and tastings. Conveniently centrally located in the county, it is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside either on foot, cycle, car or water. Throughout the year there are a series of festivals and street activities, many of which are free. The most notable is the Devizes Carnival fortnight in later August and the Lantern Parade & Christmas Festival on the last Saturday in November.
