Amazing staff and beautiful property. A very comfortable bed and breakfast truly a great escape and relaxing environment.
Holmegaarden B & B-K on Ærø island is a 15-minute drive from Ærøskøbing town center. It offers free Wi-Fi, as well as a large surrounding garden with BBQ facilities and outdoor seating.
Easy to get to from Svendborg on the ferry. We got the train from Copenhagen to Svendborg - on time and very straightforward. Beautiful island - in early September - very quiet and peaceful. Lovely walks from the town of Ærøskøbing and we hired great bikes from the guy at Andelen. Lovely countryside cycle up to Soby - very small - had lunch at the harbour. Cycle paths are great and easy to follow. Restaurant Mumm had amazing food and the cafe Den Gamle was our favourite. Just need to plan ahead a bit as some of the other eateries close very early or don't open on Sunday at all.

I was had a plan to go see another area of Denmark after this and changed my mind and booked another stay on this island to extend my trip here before returning to København and then home to Canada. There are things to do, and plenty of time and space to not have things to do, too.
Lovely patios with amazing simple but tasty food. And the architecture and lovely little details on these homes and business store fronts are just charming. The movie theater is so adorable, and worth a visit. They play movies in their original language (often English) with Danish subtitles.
This village of Ærøskøbing is right out of a modern twisted fairy tale adventure and the proximity to the beach is always a plus. As an English speaker, I'm not having issues communicating, although I am trying to practice some Danish speaking when I have the vocabulary. As someone not traveling by car, the free bus that runs on e an hour has been a blessing.
I will have to come back here again to this charming place. It's a little slice of heaven without the extreme summer temperatures.

Ærø in general is such a beautiful island and perfect for a long weekend or week to stay. The island has changed over the years and you find more small makers and creatives on the island which makes ist even nicer to stay there, apart from the outstanding scenery and landscape. Locals are very friendly and make guests feel at home. I hope to visit soon again.

A beautiful city with very kind people.
A beautiful city with very kind people. It is a place where people don't even lock their doors because they trust each other. The atmosphere is a mix out of farytale and old fisher town. We will come back very soon!

We were there in winter and there wasn't a lot happening - it must be very pretty in summer.
There was only one restaurant open and it was pricey.
there is a free bus which travels all around the island.
It is a go to spot for weddings - it seems to be the main reason for tourists to come to marry or attend marriage ceremonies.

Aeroskobing is the most beautiful little town on the...
Aeroskobing is the most beautiful little town on the beautiful island of Aero. It has totally preserved old town atmosphere with pretty little houses, streets and squares. It seemed that every window of every house was wonderfully decorated for the Christmas season with such a great touch for details. A highly recommendable place to visit and also easy to get to by ferry.
Lovely apartment atop a beautiful farmhouse and with peace, quiet, beautiful views and a wonderful kitchen. Fantastic beds, and outside porch for tea and breakfast. The stars at night lived up to our host, Tina's promises, spectacular. Easy to find and only a few minutes from the ferry, the grounds/apartment was so pretty upon arrival, I had to take pictures! The kitchen was filled with anything you might need, too! We will certainly be back!
The place is beautiful and well kept. Peaceful, with a great garden to relax. Breakfast was great. It's located in a very nice small village, and the free buses that go around the island stop right in front of the hotel, so it's very easy to move from there. There are not many dining options nearby, but the hotel restaurant is very good. Staff was great, and gave good recomendations for visiting the Island.
Location is excellent. We stayed there for our wedding and it is just walking distance to our wedding venue. Walking distance to beautiful beach huts too. The room is a bit small, but it is comfortable. Breakfast is not bad, vegetarian option only. Cafe’s interior decoration is super cool. Love the concept of environmental concerns. Instagrams spot!
Well located hotel,14 km to the next town called Marstal which has a lot of restaurants and a harbor.
Behind the hotel, there is a place to rent Bicycles for the whole day.
There is a nice kitchen fully equipped, the outdoor furniture and two entrances, one in front and other in the back of the kitchen.
There is a private parking space at the back.
We were here for our wedding and couldn’t have been happier with our choice of accommodation! The hotel has beautiful cozy bedrooms with comfy beds, also the staff was super kind and always helpful! They even brought us an iron for our wedding gowns. Breakfast was really tasty as well. We loved staying here and would definitely come back next time!
The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our bike ride on the bikes the hotel rented us. The Breakfast was very good. Shared bathroom is a bit of a pain, but we signed up for that, and they were always available when needed with appropriate supplies. The location is great, and easy to get to from the ferry.
Unique, great location from the ferry, quiet, personalized attention from Adam the owner, amazing family suite! We rented bicycles- they were high quality and rode well. We enjoyed a lovely al fresco dinner on the patio- ordered falafel, hummus, salads, fresh pita, etc from the food truck at the end of the property.
The location from the Ferry to the apartment is nice as well as a 2 minute walk to Netto across the street. The space otherwise is very clean and there are some amenities like an iron and ironing board we did not expect but were pleasantly surprised to have and use.
Very friendly owner and staff made our stay an amazing experience. Excellent breakfast. Room was big enough and had all amenities needed. Bed and chairs were very comfortable. The hotel also has a very good restaurant. Hotel is at the main square in Aeroskobing.
A super cozy guesthouse right in the heart of Ærøskøbing. Amazing breakfast in the Café downstairs (also with a plant based option) & the sweetest Danish/Irish couple running it. They made our stay & wedding on Ærø very special, and we will definitely come back.
We loved literally everything, the island was beautiful as a whole, everyone on the island was so friendly and lovely to us, the hotel staff were also incredibly helpful and patient with us on our way to the café and always answered any questions we had.
We spent only one night at this hotel and overall it met our expectations. Our room was cozy and clean, the breakfast buffet really good. The shared bathroom is also okay.
It is also possible to rent bikes directly at the hotel, which we did.
The owner (Adam) was very approachable and accommodating, he helped us a lot during our whole stay. The whole hotel has a rustical charm to it, a lot interesting vintage pieces here and there, will highly recommend this place to others.
Perfect location as hotel is a short and very overly stroll from ferry landing. Set is the middle of probably the cutest town in the world. Very clean hotel. Staff exceptionally nice. Great inclusive breakfast.
Perfect location right in the heart of the beautiful Ærøskøbing.
The owner Collette is very nice
The room is equipped with all one needs: chest of drawers, comfortable bed, plenty of towels and toiletries.
Atmospheric traditional manor house converted to hotel. Great location on the central square. Very quiet and relaxing. Nice little outdoor seating area in back. Big communal kitchen for use of guests.
