I loved that everything I needed I could walk to, such as great restaurants, Ristorantino Da Michele, Pearl of India, and the meat and cheese shop and restaurant next to Hotel Drei Hof, an excellent hotel. Many excellent bakeries and market days are Saturdays and Wednesdays. My great grandfather, whose ancestors were French Huguenots, was born in Friedrichsdorf, so the Huguenot Church and the Cemetery were interesting to me. Philipp Reis Museum was not open the days I was there, but would have liked to visit it. Historic town, beautiful area.

It is a classic german suburban, nothing less - nothing more. It has several small restaurants but no pubs or cafes. Also no shopping place, you have to go one stop back on S Bahn to Bad Homburg for such things. Other than that, it is what it is; it doesnt offer what it doesnt have. You have to Adjust your expectations.

The city has nothing special to offer, it is a small German city north Frankfurt. Boring, not a lot of shops and usual German leisure (water pipe bars, döner kebab, and turkish delights). the good part is the short distance to the motorway which allow you to leave the town pretty fast.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I must say it was an incredible experience. The location in a quiet and cozy forest provided an unbelievable sense of seclusion. The complimentary parking was convenient, and the view from the window overlooking the beautiful forest was simply magnificent! The breakfast was not only delicious but also diverse and of high quality, complemented by a stunning view. The staff was exceptionally friendly.
The house was cozy and comfy, the nice balcony was great to relax. Big and clean kitchen and bathroom. Home owners are incredibely nice people, allways helpfull. The house is located very close to the S-bahn station which connects you to any place in and around Frankfurt. It'll be my first choice when I travel to Frankfurt again.
Great quiet hotel with comfortable bed, not so far from the motorway.
Fantastic service. The staff helped us during our stay and they even sent back to our home an item that we had forgotten in the room.
