The hotel is rated 4 star and I would say it is getting the 4 star on facilities . It is very tired and in need of serious maintenance and upliftment . In its heyday of 1950 it probably was fantastic . Compared to other 4 star hotels it is falling behind standards. But it has a wonderful location

Platres is a lovely moiuntain village with a good mix of restaurants, bars and relaxtion points, Great for starting mountain walks or just kicking back in the village,
We would also highly recommend the chocolate workshop experience at Cyprus Chocolates. Educational and informative with a passionate host in Eugene.
You get to try all different kinds of chocolates and there's no obligation to buy. Though I'm defy anyone to leave without picking up a little treat. :)

Deep woods. Very cool temperature - chilly at night. Nightingales in May-June. Small waterfalls, very nice walks through the woods. Lavender activities. Beautiful early XXth century architecture, typical only in Platres. Red bricks, turrets and pinnacles. Nice tavernas. Nice small kids playground in the village centre. Perfect for a quiet, cosy trip.

Having a terrace overlooking the mountain , in the center of Platres but very quiet as well was a real blessing. The host mr Polydoros , was very nice , friendly and checking out if we needed something else. It was Cyprus hospitality at its best.
Location was fantastic. This has clearly been a nice hotel at some point in the past and it provides a great base for exploring the nearby villages and historic sites.
The room was very clean and it was evident that housekeeping had moved furniture to deep clean each time they visited.
One member of the waiting staff who was present at breakfast every morning was very amiable and was really working hard. He went out of his way to speak with our children and find and prepare a table for us. He was an exception to an otherwise lackluster team.
This is a perfect choice for a mountain getaway! The cabins and rooms are basic, as you would expect for the price. But the location is ideal if you want quiet seclusion and the facilities are better than we anticipated. There's place for football and basketball and a barbecue area. Hikers can enjoy easy access to nearby mountain trails. The little village of Platres is only 5 minutes' drive away, offering a nice selection of cafes and restaurants.
This place has a good, home energy. Fantastic, friendly staff, cosy lobby. Central location with walking distance to the most important sightseeings of Platres. Taxi, Bank, Supermarket, Police station, lots of restaurants and coffee shops are a walking distance from hotel...Big room with balcony, satisfying enough breakfast, great food in general. There is a hair dryer, AC , TV in the room.
Definitely to come back.
Location and the beautiful hotel and rooms are all perfect, we stayed for two nights.
The first night was excellent, it was quiet and very cozy, the bathroom is nice and clean, the view from the balcony is amazing and the smell of pines and wood bark is just fantastic!
breakfast was very basic, boiled eggs, a toast and chees or sausage, that's about it, for us it was fine but could be much better.
The family that owned the inn was excellent. They were all so kind. I loved the breakfast and the location. My room was perfect. This was a safe place for solo female travelers. And there was close access to public transportation, as I did not rent a car while in Cyprus. Great hiking nearby.
Excellent location in Platres high in the Troodos mountains. The room was comfortable as was the bed and very clean. It was a little cool as it was 19 and 20 September but warm enough under the duvet. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. If the test is would I go back, yes I would.
This elegant hotel is at the top of a hill and has lovely rooms and charming lounges. Breathing in the fresh mountain air standing on our balcony was delightful. The staff couldn’t be nicer and seeing and chatting with the owner was memorable.
We knew it was an old hotel but we wanted something cozy. Lovely location to relax. We booked for a romantic weekend, its 15 minuters from Troodos. Restaurant staff are incredibly helpful and polite. A la carte food was delicious.
Nice, slightly tucked away location, you need a car to get to town. Feels like it's in the middle of a forest. We visited in the Fall so the hotel was super empty and very quite, we also were not in position to use any facilities.
I liked all of it. We came on Monday the quietest day of the week. Stayed until Tuesday. If possible we would have stayed longer. Get away from the beach and have a look on Cyprus. It is a lot more then Limassol and Larnaca.
Perfect location to relax and enjoy the mountains! A cozy boutique hotel nice decorated, with a very good quality of food and service. Plesant staff and willing to assist you. Will definitely visit this place again!
The accommodation meets my expectations. The service ist perfect. Every time you had some small problem in the accommodation, it was quickly fixed.
The location is perfect if you want to visit the Cyprus mountains.
Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Large traditional house with period furniture, featuring a bath (good for a long soak after a hard walk). Quiet location but quite close to the centre of Platres.
A dream house in the mountains and the perfect view. We loved the location and bed was so comfy felt like a very nice hotel bed. We will definitely come back.
A Hotel with tradition.
The Hotel is located in Upper Platres, on the road to Troodos.
The hotel is surrounded by Pine Trees forest, a clean atmosphere.
