We did not visit very much as we spent some time visiting family. We ate at the Keg, beautiful restaurant, very good food and service. Except for where there was road construction, Moncton is fairly easy to get around.

The variety of shopping options was great and mostly the people were friendly ..... however, as a mixed race couple, we did experience a few openly hostile, racist encounters which we found surprising in a so-called 1st world country ..... with the exception of Charlottetown PEI (where it was the same) cannot recall that we encountered similar to this level in Halifax, Fredericton, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Kelowna or Vancouver where we visited recently .....

The Château Moncton was the best hotel we stayed during our month long trip through the Maritimes. It was clean and and appeared to have many upgrades in the bathroom and the bedroom area. It offered a great value for what we paid.

The Amsterdam Inn & Suites is an exceptionally clean place to stay from the lobby right through to the rooms. The staff is very welcoming and helpful with any questions. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice and cookie or muffins are available at all times. Breakfast is simple but good. The housekeeping staff is very thorough and it’s nice to come back to a room that looks and smells clean and fresh. The beds are so comfortable. It’s great to have access from outside as well as inside hallway. It snowed during our stay and sidewalks, outside accesses and decks were cleaned promptly. It has been a very nice place to stay while we have had to be in Moncton and we wouldn’t think twice to stay here again if ever we come back to Moncton in the future.Laurie

We were on a 20 hours road trip and booked this place cause it was by far the cheapest around. We thought « oh well, it’s 1am, we just need to do a quick sleepover stop, so it doesn’t matter if the place is bad ». On the contrary, the room was perfectly clean, the bed and pillows comfortable, the night agent polite and efficient, the hotel beautiful. We enjoyed our simple breakfast, much better than a lot of pricier places.
