Wonderful, spacious, friendly town one hour from snowfields. Swim in the mighty Murray. Can be cold! Art galleries museums, gardens, parks. Fascinating history. Big, historical rail station. Just a few hours by train to Melbourne. Less than 8 hrs to Sydney. Many good restaurants n cafes. Old pubs with lots of character. Student night on Wednesdays. Albury is a lovely stop off not too far away from Sydney/Canberra/Melbourne. I liked that it was such a small little town and I felt so happy there. Easy to get around, and the people are really friendly. Worth a visit for a few days easily. Was only there for 1 day/1 night so can't give much more rating/commentary than that.

Albury is a lovely country town.
Albury is a lovely country town. The cafes are vibrant and plentiful. The river is beautiful as well as the people there. Willow and co cafe is a must , food exceptional and staff very lovely. Big wide clean streets lots of shopping, very impressed with the town.

It was easy to find, parking was good.
It was easy to find, parking was good. The room was spacious with a sliding door to outside. Not a garden but you could sit there. The staff were helpful and pleasant and responded when one of our party needed another bedside table. Its close to Albury main street. We stayed on the way to Melbourne for the Super Rugby and on the way back from it. The first night we ate at Brady's Railway Hotel which was very close and the second night we ate at the Beer Deluxe. Both were nice places to eat - pub food, but good. This was a very convenient and comfortable motel, clean and with all the things we needed.

Albury is a great town for a stop over or a few days. Lots of eateries & interesting shops, green parks. We love India food, the one in Dean street dose a great buffet. Though last time we ended up eating in the Thai close to the Albury regent. Make sure you visit the parks.

We like land based fishing (catch and release) and Albury is a great starting point. We can fish on lake hume or on the Murray during our stay. Both have amazing diversity of both flora and fauna. The most amazing tranquil places to sit and just take in the wonders of our awesome surroundings.AAnonymous

Easy to get around the Albury area from here, used Uber as it was a bit wet while I was here. There is plenty of parking on site, some of it under cover, though under cover is too low for a large 4wd with roof racks or taller vehicles. There is parking that isn't under cover on the paved area opposite along front fence line in reasonably well lit area on the property. I parked there rather than down the back which was a bit dark & out of the way.DaveAustralia

It was our annual Albury trip; this home was an absolute high light. The presentation, cleanliness, location was Impeccable!! They thought of everything What an amazing view to wake up to in the morning and the wonderful evening BBQ with the sunsetting over the mountains. Thank you, we will be definitely booking again.

Inside the pub itself is really lovely and the staff were all super nice. Unfortunately my main meal (lamb shank) was pretty tough to eat, but the excellent dessert kind made up for it. TV worked in the room and there was a spare flatter pillow which is good more me because I hate the overly plump hotel pillows.
