Fremantle has a warm, nostalgic place in my heart but over the years it has become decidedly tatty. Yes, it has history to offer but the general atmosphere in the town is one of cafés, eateries and non-descript shops offering uninteresting souveniers.
The Fremantle town council is badly in need of a strategy to create a town that serves the broader community beyond a place to drink coffee any time in the week

Lots of cafes and restaurants, food was great. Markets were amazing and worth visiting. The beach was small in Fremantle but very clean. There is a great atmosphere and it is very safe to walk around with good transport links to Perth.

Freemantle is a wonderful old town, which has retained its culture. We really enjoyed visiting the Round House (a former jail), for the info about it and the views!!!!!!
Also so easy to get to the port to go to Rottnest Island. The Quest is a 2 min walk from tbere, making it so accessible

This was a mini stay holiday for a wedding, and would had loved to had stayed longer. So many things to do and see in Fremantle from dining out, breweries, arts & culture, history and water activities.
absolutely love this hotel- the redesign is gorgeous. I stay here a few times per year for up to 6 weeks at a time. Have even used their pet rooms which work really well and are very clean and tidy too. Food is excellent and location is awesome with quick walk to the east Fremantle foreshore one way with pub and restaurants and the other way within 5 mins walk is George st with really cool restaurants and boutique stores - then about a 15 min walk to Fremantle city centre. love it!! also great advantage with free parking
The three of us had a weekend stay at Quest Fremantle, and it was awesome! The location is really good, almost everything is within walking distance. We booked a two-bedroom apartment and the facilities really exceeded our expectations. The beds are comfy and the living area is spacious. There Victoria Quay carpark is right across the hotel and the fee is reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful too!
The staff members who booked me in and also out were genuinely friendly and helpful, not fake at all which is a pleasant surprise to what I've been experiencing in most other places. The A frame donga was huge and spotlessly clean. Bed was very comfortable. Value for money when you consider how close to Fremantle it is and you get secure parking for free, unlike all the hotels who charge extra for parking.
Great location if you want to stay in Freo, enjoy the local history and be in walking distance to all nearby attractions. Having $20 car parking per day just across the road is ideal. We are in the over 65 age group but found it an easy walk from the hotel to the Fremantle train station and all attractions. Hotel has an easy vibe, relaxed and very friendly staff. we’ll done!
Excellent hospitality by the staff. We were upgraded as my mom was on the wheel chair and the room we booked was not big enough for her. The manager voluntarily upgraded us without any extra charge which was very much appreciated!
We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Fremantle.
Pier 21 still took our reservation as we were in lockdown which I was happy about as some hotels cancelled. I was going to a wedding with a friend which was in Fremantle so it was great to come back to a hotel rather than drive home my friend lives in Mandurah so it was so handy.
Great spot on high street in the heritage area of town. Lovely balcony overlooking the street and heritage buildings. Easy access in an out of the building into the thick of things in Fremantle and good carparking next door. Close to all my favorite restaurants.
very friendly staff and cool atmosphere of the hotel - you can well imagine how the wardens have lived in this place many years ago. free minibar and very nice rooms. great location in Fremantle close to city center, markets and the ferry quay.
Location is incredible ,short walk to shops, resturants, cafes ,ferry terminal and train station are also so close to the hotel.
This was the ultimate base for a great few days to explore Fremantle.
Facilities in the room are great.
It is a little art gellary and we really enjoyed our one day stay there touch the feel of the old fremantle. everywhere is a photo spot. definately recommended anyone who is going to fremantle to exprience this little hotel.
Well appointed 3 bedroom apartment with 2 full bathrooms and a separate toilet; quiet location. 10 min walk to the heart of Fremantle. 5 min walk to Perth Markets. Friendly staff; able to store luggage.
A lovely apartment right in the heart of Fremantle. Extremely clean and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and had everything we required. Fabulous communication from Karen (our host). Recommend highly.
Great location, great staff, great breakfast, great early check in, great decor, great room, great parking .... Did I mention it was a Great Little Hotel ! We will be back !
The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of Fremantle. The whole place is quite cozy, the balcony areas and the kitchen is nice. The room is nice too.
Modern, clean and tidy room, and lots of character in the heritage building!
Walking distance to Fremantle beach and museums (but a bit of a sweat in the heat!)
amazing location in the heart of Fremantle. it is huge which is amazing for an extended stay and felt like you were staying in a little bit of Freo history
Perfect for our weekend getaway to Fremantle. Loved the apartment, great location and had everything we needed. We have stayed before and will be back :)
