The central Plaza is a very nice place to sit down and have a drink or eat something. In Chacras there are so many options to good gastronomy that there is always a perfect option for what one is looking for. Brunch at Shelby was fantastic.

This area is much nicer for a wine based trip than Mendoza city, Chacras Village was charming.
You need a car to get around but so much to see!
We went to several wineries for lunch and also did a winery bike tour one day. We also took a trip to the villages at the foot of the Andes - only a 40 minute drive.

Quaint little city, nice options for lunch or dinner, but most places for shopping take a siesta from 1330-1630, just FYI. Clos De Chacras was a local winery/restaurant just minutes walking distance from Lares de Chacras and it was so good!

Chacras de Coria is on the outskirts of Mendoza.
Chacras de Coria is on the outskirts of Mendoza. It has what you need without the noise of the city. You can cycle round the vineyards, take day trips up Aconcagua and visit the Valle de Uco amongst other things. The Malbec is gorgeous. We enjoyed the food at Tea and Company although we wanted to eat at 7.30 p,m. which is early for the Argentinians so, we were not able to choose from the whole menu. Lunch at Cava de Cano was an amazing experience: your own dining room, about 30 starters. We only managed starters and mains which cost about £13 each. Because of the precarious financial situation, most people like to be paid in cash. You can negotiate a discount for cash. The problem is that there is a maximum daily amount you can get from a hole in the wall bank so, take lots of dollars. We took 2 buses via Mendoza to go to the Termas de Cacheuta, the public baths. Not worth the effort. Full to the brim with visitors and not a particularly nice place

We stayed for about 5 days and it was the perfect amount of time. We are not wine-crazy but we still really enjoyed the trip. Very romantic with absolutely incredible food. Quaint and unique places that are fun to explore. Check out El Mercadito and El Enemigo for sure.

Walking into Alto Chacras Cottage is like walking into a tranquil oasis away from the busy noisy city. The grounds are beautiful. We had a lovely room with a king-size bed, a patio that faced the pool, and a completely modern bathroom. The property is very clean. The breakfast was good too. Paola, the manager is a delight, and was extremely helpful in arranging local wine tours. The hotel is a short, and very pleasant walk from restaurants and the center of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had an amazing time at Casona la Chiquita! The villa itself is beautiful, the grounds were so well taken care of and the pool was a great spot to relax and enjoy the sun. Mendoza is easily accessible via taxi and you're walking distance from some shops and restaurants nearby too. It's just the perfect place to relax and enjoy what the area has to offer. The staff was so kind and accommodating too - we'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Mendoza!
Our stay at Casa Glebinias was our favourite in our whole Argentina trip. The staff are very friendly and helpful, helping us plan day trips and overall just excellent service levels. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends visiting Mendoza. Its located near the wineries (we visited Kaiken and Alta Vista which were great). Very homely atmosphere.
It's safe to say Casa de Coria exceeded any expectations I may have had prior to my stay. The staff welcomed me so warmly, and the entire grounds and accommodation was absolutely beautiful. I'd highly recommend this location to anyone who's visiting the Mendoza region, and I definitely hope to be back myself someday. Truly lovely experience all around; many, many thanks. :)
Casa de Coria is like staying in a nice bed and breakfast. The owner Bruce and his assistants are very helpful. This was our first time in Argentina/Mendoza and they helped recommend wineries and made reservations for us to visit in the Lujan de Cayo as well as Valle de Uco. The location is excellent and has some great restaurants and cafes nearby. I would stay again.
The hotel is stunning and peaceful, with big comfortable rooms and a lovely pool overlooking the vineyard. We loved the winery which gives you a free glass of wine each night and offers a range of tapas. We would recommend the cooking class and the asado which are available options - the food was incredible and we learnt a lot!
Wow! We loved it here. Our first stop in Mendoza and it was wonderful. So much attention to detail - coffee bags in room, pool towels, water in fridge. Hosts were wonderful - even helping us park and coming to our rescue when we stupidly locked ourselves out of our room. Location is also great!
Incredibly calm hotel with a very relaxing feel. Not the biggest or best rooms we stayed in on our holiday but everything very clean, comfortable and safe. Very friendly helpful staff. Great location - last on the bus and first off for trips to vineyards and mountains.
Excellent property - comfortable , clean, with wonderful breakfast , beautiful pool, tasteful ambiance. Family, who runs the property, is wonderful. You feel their hospitality everywhere. If we ever travel back to Mendoza, we will stay here again.
Everything about La Casona Chiquita was wonderful. I felt so at home and Beatrice was so welcoming. The location is within walking distance to several great restaurants. If I’m ever back in the Mendoza area, I would definitely stay here again!
The loft is very well located and you find restaurants and shops in a walk distance. The facilities are very good and they have everything you might need to cook. The host (Noelia) was so nice and she made ourselves very comfortable.
Wonderfull place in the middle of Chacras de Coria. Great place for relaxation. Beautiful park. Really nice old house. It could have better taps. But that`s it. I have already suggested them to upgrade this.
Wonderful little hotel with great staff - made my stay over Christmas extra special. the pool area and breakfast were great. The bedroom was comfortable and five star bedding. thank you for a great stay!
Quaint, cozy boutique hotel in Lujan de Cuyo. The staff is friendly and tried to help answer our questions about local activities and arrangement. The room and the property are both comfortable.
