Roads and open sewers are terrible. Radcliffe Quay is interesting. Ana's is great location, and reasonable prices. 1st Choice has much variety and deli food is excellent and great value. Difficult getting around St John's due to bad road conditions, with washed out sides, speed bumps and open sewers. You need to know your way around.

This stay was total 11 nights moved from other room for 4-night studio.
All units are privately owned so no two are alike, meaning furnishings and bath and kitchen updates are all different. If I was alone, I would have had to request a step ladder as everything in kitchen was too high up to reach. MICROWAVE in a cabinet above the fridge set back??? ALL in all, decent room a little pricy in my opinion for off season. The staff was very friendly. Location allows you a nice beach walk either direction. A few restaurants nearby. You do need to be aware next to Sandals so it can be a little loud in the afternoon. Many many beautiful beaches would need transportation. Driving is not for the faint of heart.
We did drive in order to experience the Island fully. Oh, and great snorkeling!!

Beautiful area. Island can be rough in many areas.
Beautiful area. Island can be rough in many areas. Resort is good for families, with lots of choices for restaurants and bars. Grocer is VERY expensive. Would recommend a golf cart or car for transportation around the resort, as it is very spacious. Resort is dated and needs updating. Each villa is different, so depends on the luck of the draw.

It is just a city, so half a day is enough.
It is just a city, so half a day is enough. Just explore the area around. Good places to eat in the Redcliffe Quay. Also, if you want to safely park a car there is a big parking lot (paid) right there. We tried to park a car on the street but the policeman told us that it is not allowed. Worth visiting the cathedral and the quays. Also, go on a biking/kayaking/ hiking tour organized by company who had an office next to the ice-cream/waffle place at the Redcliffe Quay. Great fun!
This was our first time in Antigua in December and we were surprised to find that almost everyday it was windy, therefore the beach was full of seaweed and the sea was rough. Not as nice as it usually is. It's not the fault of the hotel, but just be aware that maybe December is not a good month to go. Restaurants nearby are super expensive, so usually we went to the supermarket (which is a bit far) to buy food to cook in our apartment.
The location is good, and people working at the property are helpful.
After a long trip from Saskatoon to Antigua, it was nice to arrive at this quiet hotel. I had a suite on the top floor with a full kitchen, a king size bed, and a jacuzzi tub. I walked to St John's to rent a mountain bike for 5 days from Bike Plus on Independence Avenue and rode 200 km all around the island. The nearest beach is a 20 min walk from the hotel. I recommend Nigel's restaurant just down the street at the Anchorage Inn. I had a wonderful time. Donna was a very nice host.
my partner and I booked this property last minute, after having issues with our original booking with another hotel. the owner of the property was very helpful and sent regular communication regarding access. when we arrived at the property it was clean, spacious and homely. all rooms were equipped with AC which made our stay comfortable. the location is good with restaurants, supermarket and beach at a stones throw away. we would be more then happy to stay here again - thank you !
This was a two day business visit and I needed to be in St. Johns. I reaslised from other reviews that the hotel is basic and a little worn around the edges. Bearing that in mind, I enjoyed my stay. The location is great for the town of St. Johns. There's a pharmacy and super market very close (same block) and some great restaurants very close too. The staff were great. I also found it reasonably quiet. IF you are looking for a beach stay then I would say this isn't for you.
From the moment you check in until the moment you check out is pure relaxation. you can be as busy as you want or just float in your plunge pool, they have it all. the food was excellent and changed every day. I was always excited to see what the chef was making especially for dessert. My words cannot describe how wonderful this hotel and its staff are. We will definitely go back in the future.
Host & housekeeping very responsive. Located in quiet neighborhood. About a mile from beach (easily walkable), about 4-5 blocks from grocery store, gym & cafe. Felt very safe in this area. Rented a car for 1/2 the time, so good to know we could walk to store & beach. Save some money and stay at Seaview, they have everything you really need & treat you like family. I would definitely stay here again.
I love this property because of the natural ambiance and it’s serenity. The cottages are clean and you can find any accessories that a home should have. I had fun chilling at Yeptons Estate and in the future my family plans to book all the cottages available. Oh Thanks to Gabby and Douglas! They are amazing and made sure that we were fully comfortable. You shall see us again!
Staff were helpful & engaging. We had a beach pool room which was stunning.
The setting and location is lovely and it has the potential to be a stunning boutique hotel. Our feedback was received in the manner in which it was given and staff did what little they could to make our stay better - what is wrong will take months to fix.
Amazing location - literally on the beach (less than 1 min walk to Dickenson beach), restaurants super close (less than 5 mins walk), great room with great view. On site mini mart and very helpful staff. 100% would recommend and will be returning to when I'm next in antigua.
it is $26 USD from the airport and it has a private beach. there is a restaurant in the hotel next door but it is a bit far from other facilities ( market, shops, restaurants) This place is ideal for a short stay or if you have your own transport
Pascal is an amazing host and this apartment is a comfortable and convenient base for visiting all parts of the island. The fruit trees in the backyard—not to mention the hammock—are a lovely and blissful bonus.
Comfortable studio facilities with fridge freezer, good quiet a.c. . Friendly staff. Good value for money. Authentic atmosphere rather than 'all inclusive ' style.Clean and safe.
