Providing cars and bikes on rent, Sudu Neluma Home Stay provides accommodation in Polonnaruwa. All rooms have a seating area to relax in after a busy day. The place is really nice and the owners are great. I was on the line with them all the time so they helped me reach their place. Their place is around 3km from the ancient city. They have bicycles for a small fee. The road next to the lake is amazing. I loved it. The room was spacious and cozy, hot water was available. You can get AC for an extra charge but I think a fan is enough. The food mom cooks is very delicious. I had dinner and breakfast with them. They were there to help me with everything and give me information about my sightseeing. I def recommend this place!!!

מקום האירוח Lake Cabin שוכן בפולונרואה, במרחק של 2.5 ק''מ מGal Viharaya, ויש בו נוף לאגם. This place deserves more than 5 stars. The location is THE BEST you could ever imagine. Right at the edge of a national park with view onto a lake you see lots of macaques and langurs, birds, mongooses and with a bit of luck elephants roaming around, sometimes they come very close and are just 2 few meters away. No worries there is security fence as you know it from national park areas inbetween. The cabins, very exclusively as there are only 2 available, are perfectly equipped, spotless clean, airtight - so no bugs will bother you as long as you exercise common sense to keep doors closed and come with very good working air-conditioning. You have a nice cozy seating area/porch attached to watch the animals while you are enjoying meals or ice-cold drinks. Bringing your binoculars to view animals further away is recommended. Sanka is THE BEST host you could ever imagine, very warm welcoming and always smiling, and very attentive. He is always available, happy to serve you his delicious food and ice-cold drinks to your room, everything for very reasonable prices. He helps to arrange safaris for you, provides amazing advise on sightseeing, loves to exchange experiences with his guests. He is such a lovely person, himself still very excited about the wildlife, it was hard to leave this place. Ensure to reserve ahead as this place has only 2 cabins and is of course very popular. Best room we have had in Sri Lanka . Everything was there in the room ,which is very clean and nicely decorated. The food is also very good . The family who runs the guedt house are super friendly and will do everything for you

The guest house is off the main road situated right behind a vast rice paddy. There are monkeys and beautiful white birds everywhere. It's so peaceful at night and in the morning. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite large. The bathroom was also large and everything was very clean. Also, the breakfast and dinner is fantastic. They also have the cutest dog in the whole world named Pepsi!

Nice, simple and very clean homestay, close to the ancient city. Possibility to rent a bike. I stayed only one night. Ravi the owner is very kind, humble and helpful, he even showed me around the lake with bicycles. And he always finds the solution;-)
