The home was very clean, spacious with a large fully equipped kitchen, and sitting area. Location was perfect, very close to the beach, marina, cafes and restaurants.

Beautiful property, well stocked and comfortable as well. Host was very attentive. Would definitely stay here again if we came back! (it was fantastic to have nearby parking that was free, and Ponta Delgada was only a few minutes away. Very easy!)

Best of all Miguel very personally yet not intrusively goes from table to table with maps and advises about where and what you might look at. The guidance was flawless

I could not imagine being in a more comfortable and charming guest home than Ao Mercado. It had every comfort and convenience imaginable and it is in such an excellent location. Maria , the owner, is very attentive to every need and has thoroughly planned her guest home to be not only well organized and clean as well as comfortable with a blend of old world charm and modern facilities. The size of the home allows for intimacy while at the same time offers an opportunity to casually interact with other guests in the common areas. I felt very at home here within a day! Situated in Ribeira Grande and within 300 metres of Ponte dos Oito Arcos, Matriz Guest House has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. The size and style of rooms, including views of the ocean. Breakfast was also a treat with all the different homemade jams. The hosts-Rossana and Eduardo-were also exceptional!
