We learned the story of perte de pain "Lost Bread" which we call French toast in the US. We had a champagne tasting the evening of our stay which was informative and delightful. Our hostess shared the story of their family champagnes which was such a treat.

The bathroom was also large, clean and easy to use. Staff are super friendly. There is a lovely living room where you can order champagne and snacks as well as chairs outside with canopies for shade. The yard is beautiful. We felt at home and safe. We were happy we stayed at Aÿ as we spent a lot time in Épernay for the champagne tastings and probably would not have visited Aÿ had we stayed in Épernay.

The room was spotlessly clean and the hosts were welcoming and friendly. There was everything we could possibly have needed in our rooms. They had thought of everything! The evening meal was delicious, and we loved the fact that we ate together with the other guests. We had a comfortable night, and the breakfast in the morning with baguette, croissants, homemade jams and even homemade yogurt was superb.
