Ribeira Douro Hotel ligger idealiskt beläget i Porto och erbjuder 2-stjärnigt boende i närheten av Palacio da Bolsa och Marknad Ferreira Borges. This hotel had not been open very long at the time of my stay, but I made the booking based on photos, location, price, and the knowledge that it was newly opened. I don't know the prior use for the space, but they have turned the old structure into a nice fourteen-room boutique hotel. It's tucked away in a small street near the Douro in a great location (though you are by the river, so many things are uphill from there). Check-in was a breeze and the staff were friendly and informative. Other interactions with the staff during our stay were all positive, though we didn't really have any special needs. The decor, fixtures, rooms, and such were all very well done - it is clear it was new, but it also appeared to be built well. The breakfast was more than expected in terms of variety, and the quality was also good. Noise from the street was a bit of concern upon realizing our room faced the street and had balconies, but we heard very little sound from outside. I was very happy with this hotel and wish them great success.
