Offering an beautiful waterfront location, Seaview Lodge and Restaurant offers free WiFi and free bicycle hire to explore the area. The on-site restaurant serves international gourmet cuisine. Breakfast was very good. It’s advertised as free but that is the continental breakfast I believe. Ordered off the menu instead and it was delicious. Plus the setting and ambiance is really nice. Highly recommend! Also the bartender (I can’t recall his name unfortunately) is very helpful and makes sure you have everything you need. The owners/managers were very kind as well. Also, it is reasonably walkable to all the main spots like restaurants and bars on the Main Street.

Julia, welcomed us to her beautifully appointed fale. A traditional Tongan hut . We had clear communication before our arrival with lots of suggestions where to go where to eat. Julia organised a hire car for us too. The fale is eco friendly and all food waste goes to the pet pigs . On our arrival fresh coconuts were waiting for us. Julia assisted us during our stay with bookings to restaurants. Helped us when our car got a puncture. As a host Julia showed us the beautiful way the Kingdom of Tonga looks after visitors.

Providing a garden, Tukulolo Treehouses offers accommodations in Makaunga. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony and a swimming pool. I traveled with co workers and my boyfriend and we all were so in love with the treehouses and the Paquette family. They are so welcoming to anyone and everyone and Ashley makes some of the best food on the island. The treehouses that Chris built are out of this world. You will be amazed. Their kids are incredible too. They also have the sweetest dogs and horses. My co-workers also said they would highly recommend staying here, as it is the best place on the island. My boyfriend and I were so sad to leave. I promise you’ll be sad to leave too!!

Mystic Sands is located right on its own private beach, and has a pier for picking up guests on diving and whale watching trips. Guests enjoy free use of kayaks. very peaceful, beautiful and a wonderful pool for our 2 year old

Located in Nuku'alofa, Tanoa International Dateline Hotel is waterfront property offering a fitness center, a large swimming pool, restaurant and 2 bars. Location was great. Facilities were great. Did not get a chance to use the pool but will next time. All staff were amazing, helpful and super friendly

Located on the picturesque waterfront, Emerald Hotel & Restaurant is centrally located in Nuku‘alofa. Guests can enjoy Chinese cuisine from the on-site restaurant, or relax with a drink at the bar. Staff were Amazing. Knew me by name after one day and greeted me every morning. Breakfast great and fast, attached Chinese restaurant is great and affordable. Rooms were great and cleaned everyday. Will be back!
