Excellent location BUT the staff is above and beyond.
Key West is a gem of an island in the Florida Keys, popular with pleasure seekers and history buffs alike. As the most southern destination in the continental United States, Key West has a fascinating history, dating back to its settlement by Spanish explorers in the 16th century.
Today, this little island off the coast of Florida attracts over a million cruise visitors a year through the Port of Key West. Visitors come to see Hemingway House, where Ernest Hemingway penned "A Farewell to Arms." Key West Cemetery provides a unique walk through the multicultural past of the city. There are also trolley rides through the historic district of Jackson Square.
There’s more than just history to Key West, however. Smathers Beach is a place to have fun in the sun, while Mallory Square provides the chance to shop and watch a magnificent sunset. The excellent bus system helps you get around the island without a car.
Key West International Airport is a mere 4 miles from Duval Street, the heart of downtown and a good place to stay for easily exploring the nearby sights. With accommodations ranging from resorts to B&Bs, Booking.com helps you get the best stay for the best price in Key West!

Key West had plenty of things to visit and lots of tourist things to do.
Some ocean restaurants were expensive but that us to be expected at the beach. Lots of people drive bikes and golf carts so it might be better to rent a golf cart instead of a car. Lots of fun people and fun things to do!

Hotel location great walking distance to all sights in old town. 2 full days is enough to see the history of the old town and enjoy the vibe walking around. an extra day would be for outings if you had more time out in the water. 2-3 days would be appropriate for this location unless relaxing for week on the beach.

There is a lot to see in Key West.
There is a lot to see in Key West. Since I can't walk very far, we found the hop-on hop-off trolley perfect. They stop at or close to all the major attraction so if you have difficulties walking this is for you! Just look for a hotel close to one of their stops. Parking is very expensive, $7 an hour.

The atmosphere is fun and light. Restaurants were loud.
The atmosphere is fun and light. Restaurants were loud. Parking horrible and $$$$. Next time would use trolley on and off. Meal prices are higher than at home. We rented golf cart still had problems finding parking.Food was good. Ate at Conch Republic, Sloppy Joes and Garbos. Enjoyed the Hemingway house tour, Jamie, tour guide was interesting. Also, Truman's White Tour, guide Greg M. , very interesting.
Bring comfortable shoes, lots of sun screen and cash.

We stayed in the Old Town area and loved how walkable and lively it was. Duval Street in particular was wild and had a ton of cool stores and businesses to visit. There were tons of bars too, although we didn't visit any. We also walked down to the southernmost point marker and the small beach around the corner. I had no idea before our visit that Key West has tons of wild roosters and chickens, they were adorable! I would highly recommend staying in or near Old Town Key West for anyone planning a visit to the Keys.
Everything! The staff at check-in was so friendly and helpful orienting me to the property and surrounding areas. They gave me a map and told me general info about Duvall Street nearby. With their helpful info I was able to get around and see all the sights I wanted. The hotel has free parking, which was a factor in selecting it, but it got even better. At check-out, staff told me I could still keep my car at the hotel for 2-3 hours afterward. Paid parking is basically everywhere in Key West so this was an exceptional bonus!
Well maintained common area with heated pool and area to eat the complimentary breakfast. Held our baggage on day of departure until we were ready to leave. Short walk to everything we like in Key West. Check out the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor which is a short walk from the hotel and in my opinion the best beach in Key West, if a cruise ship is in port they sail out right by the beach when they leave.
We are from South Florida, a 3 hour drive from Broward County. I did a ton of research before booking this hotel and I have to say, it is the absolute best option for me. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it. Very clean and modern, beautiful pool and beach and gulf view. Good vibes all around. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely go back again. Only 1 mile away from downtown Duval.
We had one night in Key West, and this hotel was perfect for our needs. Friendly staff, nice pool, lots of towels. great a/c and a spacious and comfortable room for our family of 3. Our teenager found the sofa bed very comfortable. The hotel breakfast was one of the best we've had--omelette's made to order in addition to a continental breakfast were an apprecaited addition.
I absolutely loved the hotel the way it looked and the structure of it and also all the amenities it offered. There is a pool, a fitness center a breakfast bar and everything else you could ask for near by. The staff was exceptional and very accommodating with everything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in key west. I will definetly come back.
It was a wonderful Key West style hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is simple yet a wonderful addition to the stay. We opted for a queen room, but next time, I would get a king. Rooms were nice in size with a refrigerator. The bathroom was my only complaint it was so small. I'll definitely stay here again. It was a nice quiet area.
The room was lovely, the whole hotel was stunning, the pool and beach area especially. Room was very big, beds comfy.
Thought the distance from the centre was a downfall but it was really easy to get ubers and was actually nice to be away from the hustle. Staff were friendly and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I go back to Key West.
I could not be more happier with our stay. From the staff to the room size to the location. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. I came to this hotel open minded and hoping for the best due to it being somewhat of a budget friendly hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Who needs something fancy when staying in Key West anyway!? I will return!
It was a bucket list stay for my husband for his birthday! He had always wanted to sleep on a sailboat, and this came across booking when I was looking for a hotel. Nice surprise for us both. It was easily assessable to Key West and all of the dining and must-sees. Free parking and Captain Brad even offered us a place to park on Duval Street.
The whole look of the hotel is very fun and chic, a little bungalow colony tucked away in busy Key west. The one heated pool was fabulous, and we did enjoy the little private seating areas outside every room. The location was great, pretty central, and walkable to everything. Housekeeping did a great job as well and our room was clean.
Stayed 3 days in August 2022. Quiet and very nice hotel located near the downtown road and with its own parking and pool. Room large enough, cleaned and well fitted.
All the staff was very gently and smiling. Goof breakfast and well appreciated the evening happy hours initiative.
Certainly, a place to stay in Key West.
Stephen is very friendly. He tries to make you feel comfortable and home. The accommodation is not far away from the city center of key west. Especially not by bike. The breakfast was also really nice: anything you need to have an American breakfast. The hotel looks very homey and cozy. I would definitely come back!
Great location close to the main street in Key West (Duval Str), the hotel is very cosy and the room is good with good beds. Staff was helpful and kind and helped us to book our boat tour in Key West. The price value is good and they have covered parking (not included in the reservation)
The location is fantastic for the centre of Key West. The staff are really helpful and the pool a great asset set in a beautiful garden. It is quiet and peaceful. Many of the customers are young singles and the hotel is not really spacious enough for families.
This hotel is a little gem of an oasis down a lane right in the middle of Old Town Key West. Nothing was too much trouble for Isabella. Happy hour by the pool with free drinks was a bonus, as were the free bikes.
The Truman hotel us right in the lovely old section of key west. Walking distance to everything. The room was stylish and comfortable. Only downside was the room was small and the bed is a double not a queen
Nice big room in a motel like setup. Everything was fine, just it was pricey, but I guess normal for Key West hotel. It did have a outdoor pool but we didn't use it. Bathroom was nice and spacious.
Older motel/hotel. Some nice common spaces, roof, patio, and other small spaces. Location was good not great. Price was high but everything in Key West is expensive, at least for accommodations.
Hotel was quaint and located fairly close to the main attractions in Key West. breakfast was included and was of good quality. Liked our room and the general atmosphere of the hotel.
