The most history in the state crammed into one town.
The most history in the state crammed into one town. Take time to explore uptown Butte. You will not be disappointed. Great food at locally owned restaurants. So much history and culture. I love this town!! Eat at Metals and M&M. But take a pasty home from Joe’s. Don’t forget to go to the Freeway Cafe and get chicken at the KOA campground. I could go on and on. Take the walking tour and visit the pit.

Interesting mining town on a main corridor from Canada through to the US. Downtown is cool to see, it's like a mini-Chicago but untouched. Eerily quiet and not many modern food/coffee options but worth a visit!!

I love Butte. (It's my hometown).
I love Butte. (It's my hometown). It's the only place I have found that people still greet you and chat like you can be friends. Camping, fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities are all around this area. There are numerous places to eat that are very yummy. Butte has a unique beauty that people should experience. If you aren't a winter fan this is probably not the town to go to in the winter.

When I arrived in Butte, there was a sign in the hotel window saying "Believe in Butte." Unfortuately it takes more than belief, the residents must actually put in effort to make Butte a nice place to visit. The hotel I stayed at was horrible. The streets had lots of potholes and the junction between the curb and the street was too acute, many cars probably bottom out.

We were just passing through Butte and needed to spend the night after a long driving day. The area around Butte is beautiful and I can imagine going back in the future to do some hiking and sightseeing.
I loved the history of the hotel and how the integrity of the original decor seems to still be a large part of the Finlen. Staff were so amazing and helpful throughout our stay. I also love how central of a location it is in Butte that we could walk to any of the restaurants and the farmers' market on Saturday was just down the street. The lounge at night in the lobby area was also a great place for a drink. So much fun! I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Butte.
The moment you enter the hotel, it stink with cigarette smoke. The Carpets were filthy. The room size is okay, the towels and bed sheets has hand dirt print on it. The room smells cigarette smoke. We have not have a good sleep because they are doing cleaning in the middle of the night and the smoke smell is unbearable for us not smoking.
Overall, will not recommend this for anyone with children.
We booked at the last minute due to poor road conditions. We asked for an early checkin and the desk staff and house keeping staff was very accomodating. Much appreciated! We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have not been disappointed. Also, the breakfast is excellent.
Very Good breakfast... anything you want for breakfast they have. Egg, bacon, toast, waffle, yogurt, juices, coffee, sweets, cereal etc. Best breakfast I have for all hotel we been checked in. If ever we will be on road trip again, I will definitely stop again.
The location was excellent. The staff friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable.
We enjoyed the lounge located in the hotel, they even brought us a dinner plate from the restaurant next door. I would recommend this place to a friend.
We used to stay here when it was the Capri, because it was a cheap place to stay. It's still very affordable, but the hotel has done considerable upgrades since Motel 6 book over. We were pleasantly surprised. And the desk staff were great.
Hotel was very clean, room was comfortable, and location was great. My kiddo had fun in the pool and we had fun watching her from our pool side patio. We forgot a wedding ring in our room, called and they had it and are shipping it to us!!!
Adam help me check in and went over and above to make sure my stay was perfect. The hotel was great. We would definitely be traveling back to Butte and will definitely stay here again.
not pet friendly room (wife has pet allergies) very clean and orderly room, window opened for fresh air which we very much like. Not into running AC all night.
