Overall Baytown seems like a nice place.
Overall Baytown seems like a nice place. There is a very large number of restaurants which is great, but after eating at several different ones near my motel, I found it odd that by far the nicest people I dealt with was the older staff at a Waffle House at one in the morning. There is also a lot of hotels and motels. though I will avoid the Studio 6 in the future.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Baytown is a great place. The people are friendly and helpful. I have lived here for 12 years and love it. Everything you could possibly need is conveniently located. Room was sizeable, A/C and refrigerator were good. The pool was closed, this is summer, and my room had some roaches and fruit flies. The outside is filthy with garbage, and the outside just looks run down. Several things on the premise were broken. Oh yes, I can't forget the cigarette burn in the shower curtain, and the smoke alarm, taken apart.

The pictures on the website was done by a pro because it was very different from what the room actually appeared. It was very dated, dirty, AC didn't work because filter was sooo dirty. There was so much dust on the doorframe, it was easily seen. The microwave looked dirty but was actually RUST! The room smelled musty. The shower curtain would not stay closed because shower rod was loose! TV didn't work and even though staff try fixing it, I had to google to fix it myself. NO Breakfast offered but after seeing the room would not have had the breakfast. The pool is old and needs repair. The life preserver is torn and falling apart!Rosemary

The staff that was there told us they would cancel our reservation but we were still charged. We kept calling the hotel to speak to the manager and we were told she wasn’t available. Her name was Cynthia Blake. After calling more than four times the front desk said she processed the refund. I wish she would have called us directly but we have never heard from her.
