I did not expect it to be a beautiful, clean, safe place to walk around even at night. Despite the language barrier, people are nice and accommodating trying to help you with direction. I noticed that the drivers are very patient and seldom use their horn and gives priority to pedestrian. Parks and trees are everywhere. Food and stay is affordable.

We had wonderful time in Tajikistan. I would highly recommend Dushanbe as a cultural experience. Tajikistan is over 90% mountains and the views are wonderful. The general populace is extremely hospitable and kind. Go informed, however. This country is small, poor, and has a corruption problem. The border guards are known to let you in without filling out an immigration card and giving you grief for it when you leave, hoping for bribes. The water is not safe to drink, and I would not recommend buying food from street vendors. If you are traveling from America, do not be surprised at small inconveniences like showers being broken, food items not on the menu, or airplanes running a couple of hours late. But these are small inconveniences. Buy your water, do your homework ahead of time on immigrations, and allow extra hours in your travel times. Relax and enjoy the scenery! You won't be sorry!

We didn't find a lot to do in Dushanbe but would absolutely recommend visiting the world's largest teahouse to see the amazing craftsmanship. Not really a teahouse and can't think of the name of it.

It was just amazing! Great place to stay after the Pamirs. The hotel is new and very classy. Big, light and clean rooms with everything you need (water cooler, towels, table with chairs, etc.). Good, new beds (we slept like babies). Nice views over Dushanbe from 3th floor. The owner is very friendly and helpful. They have a nice yard where you can sit and relax. Also possible to park the motorbike safe in the yard. Close to shops and restaurants. Daily buffet breakfast with enough choices. Would really recommend to stay here.

First of all the staff are so helpful, it’s very friendly and considerate. Very nice people. Secondly, the place is well located, if you like to walk you can walk to see the landmarks and there are many restaurants around the place plus super near from the airport. Third, the place it was comfy and very clean. Lastly, breakfast, the days we stayed, we had a very good food, lots of selection eat from. In general from what you paid you get very good quality!

Hospitality at this hotel is AMAZING!!! Stuff will make you feel very comfortable and welcomed!!!! One of best places I stayed at. Breakfast was so delish and best variety I've ever had. Lady who attends was the sweetest. I have no words to describe my short, but wonderful stay. Room was very big, newly remodeled and super clean. Way better than I expected!! We have stayed in the hostel only one night to get some rest before the early morning flight out of Dushanbe. The hotel is very close to the airport and very convenient for this purpose. We stayed in one of the private rooms in a newly refurbished building, which was very nice and clean, newly refurbished. The price is also very attractive. The staff were helpful with quick check-in process and arranging a taxi to the airport.

The location is excellent, close to the airport and center of the city and parks. The apartment is new and very clean, rooms are big and the bed is comfortable. There is a supermarket in the building open 24 hours. Bus station is just next to the building. The host and the person who hand in the key are very pleasant and responsive to all messages. They even helped me to buy a SIM card.

Very good hotel in the middle of town. A few minutes walk to the main park and all the sights. Restaurants nearby were good and the breakfast was very nice. Helpful staff when I needed something and they even arranged a nice tour for me at the last minute.
