San Juan is famous for its waves and its a good place to learn surfing. Its not Maui-high waves but if you're still struggling to get on the surfboard, this is a place to go. You can also enjoy a relaxing stay at the beach away from loud bars and drunken visitors that loiter at night. Our stay is not exactly in the middle of the action so it was very relaxing. Took a short trip to see Poro Point lighthouse.

We were able to visit some of the tourist spots in La Union, but because of heavy rain, its just a very short stay. Here are some of the places we visited: Paraoir Manmade Forest Baluarte Watch Tower Bahay Na Bato Bato de Luna Darigayos Beach Macho Temple We also tried our luck to eat at Halo-halo de Iloko, but there's a long queue outside the eatery, so we never tasted their famous halo-halo. We had our lunch at Bebang's Binalkot and Seafood Grill Restaurant, the food is great and not that expensive.

Not a good place to stay during your vacation, bathroom stinks and smell like sewer, sewer fumes backing out through out the room, too noisy because you heard chicken noise every morning and the it is too close the the main highway. I checked out 2 days early because I got sick from the sewer smell and can't longer sleep since I check in to this hotel.

Dinner was excellent. Easy to find location. Great stop over if on a long trip further up north. It made sense to just explore San Fernando City due to its close proximity. Staff were helpful and courteous. Hotel manager was very accommodating.

Me and my family enjoyed the food - boodle fight was great with unli rice, the beach, sunset and most especially the great experienced we had in surfing (even as beginners). We are 8 in the family fitted comfortably in our accommodation. its clean, well designed with good lighting and has convenience outlet each bedside.. Host and staff are very accommodating too. It was a really great escape from busy Manila to the relaxing stay at The Escape of San Juan.

The place was so relaxing and quite. We felt like we own the whole beach to ourselves. There's a bong fire set up in the property and we roasted some marshmallow with the kids and had an awesome time walking along the beach. We wish we could of stayed longer but we are planing on renting the whole place with our family really soon so we are looking forward to coming back. The staff was awesome! Raymond and Lanie would go out of their way to meet your needs and with a great big smile, thanks so much for making us feel so welcome! See you soon!
