Pleasantly surprised. The room was ready very fast after booking, nice, spacious, clean, fully equipped with everything even the washing powder. One of the best accommodation we had during our 2 week trip. Perfect :)
The location is a bit far from the entrance (and exit) of ruins but there are several holes in the fence nearby the accommodation which we saw locals use to have a picnic on the grass so I guess it is okay to use it in order to leave the site close to the accommodation

Jerash is much smaller and quieter than Amman.
Jerash is much smaller and quieter than Amman. But you will get to meet people like the operator of the 511 grocery or other markets, the owner of the property, and people say hello all the time. A short trip to Ajloun and you see a Byzantine castle. In between is Souf, a small town with many shops. A wonderfully quiet part of Jordan, and the Roman ruins are the best outside of Pompeii!JohnUnited States of America - 10Scored 10
The ruins were spectacular.
The ruins were spectacular. I thoroughly recommend taking 3-5 hours for them. The area is also a good getaway for North Jordan. You can enjoy cheap local food in Jerash. I found a nice shawarma place 5 minutes walk from the ruins. It was called: داريا للمطاعم جرش

Jerash archeological site is huge and worth visiting, spectacular views, whole streets with columns, temple of Zeus and Artemis. Probably more interesting details could be received from local guide, but all explanation posts are in place. Take 2L of water per person, especially during summer time and ignore local mercenaries inside. Comfortable shoes and clothe for 2-3 hours of walking recommended

Jerash the hisotry park: if you have any real interest in Roman architecture, reserve the whole day to appreciate everything the huge park has. More to see than Petra on a smaller footprint. Make sure to view the museum. Good coffee shop and nice staff there. We didn't do anything in town.williamUnited States of America

They came to get us- beware the Google map reference from Booking.com bears no reference to the location so suggest message ahead for the address. They also sorted food as we were lazy (at local prices for a delicious spread). Up above the city- clean two bedroom with pretty well equipped kitchen and lounge area with TV. Wonderful local breakfast feast. There’s not a lot for an overnight stay in Jerash but if you do stay then I don’t think you will find better.
