Pontorson is really a cute little town with lots of cafes and restaurants. It is a very convenient place to stay to visit Le Mont St. Michel if not coming with your own car, although the local buses have quite limited schedules for getting there and back. Still, it's quite sufficient for a typical visit to Le Mont.

Pontorson was as a base for our visit Mont St Michel . We took a scheduled bus near the train station to Mont St Michel. Our stay at Pontorson was 3 days 2 nights
We train from Paris to Rennes with connecting train from Rennes to Pontorson . When we arrived at Rennes found out our connecting train to Pontorson was cancelled due to the rail strikes. Thanks to SNCF they issued us fresh tickets for a soon to be departing train to Del de Bretagne. SNCF at Del de Bretagne arranged a taxi to take us our B&B, VILLA Mons. Thank you SNCF.

Nice town..
Nice town.. We had a few beers in a local pub great craic nice and chilled.. Plenty of shops.. Probably lacking a good restaurant the one we ate in previously was closed. Staffing issues ( I would work there 😂) great town to visit mont st michel instead of paying for the overpriced hotels closer.. Ten min drive in... We will re visit

Small but cute city...
Small but cute city... They should have more buses to and from the Mont St. Michel. If you're in the mood to, the distance is walkable, but you have to do it by the side of a small busy road. If you want to dine downtown, check for reservations, restaurants are usually full.
An elegant and historical house, with a wonderful garden and an aristocratic air.
The hosts thought about every detail before our coming, so that it seemed that we were invited by our best friends to visit their manor.
Breakfast was really royal, it contained a lot of options, covering all tastes, salty, sweet, and healthy
Quiet, cozy, perfect for relaxing after a full day of travelling and visiting the monastery of Mont Saint Michel. Visit that we recomand to anyone that is pasionated not only for touring, but also for history.
A beautiful historic building, all facilities totaly new and - realy - extremely clean.
Everything in the rooms is spotless and new. Very comfortable and very quiet surrounding.
Staff friendly and helpful, all located in what seems to be a newly and fully refurbished village, with a free parking, lovely bakeries and shops, all just 10 minutes drive to mont saint michel.
We didn't have breakfast in the hotel and preferred a near by coffee shop.
Not sure we made the right choice.
We had a very nice stay at Gites Mont Blanc.
The room was very clean and spacious and we could really feel the love and efforts put into the renovation of the place.
The apartment is well furnished and kids friendly.
Indications to get in were timely and clear.
The location is ideal for a day trip to Mont Saint Michel ans has all conveniences around such as supermarkets, boulangeries, restaurants, and pharmacies.
Like everyone else has mentioned, Valerie is very friendly and helpful. She helped us plan our visit to Mont Saint Michel and also to take the coastal route to Saint Malo via Cancale, which was beautiful! The stay is good value for money, the garden is amazing and so is the pet chicken Josée :) The breakfast was ok. The location is very convenient with shops, bakery and restaurants nearby.
The place is amazing and literally 10 minutes to the parking of the Mont Saint Michel. We felt like home and the owners provided everything we needed and suggestions on what to visit during our holiday. The room was spot on and superclean! We definitely recommend L'Orée du Mont if you are visiting beautiful Mont Saint Michel and surroundings!
Very nice rustic environment, good location, if you are with the car. I really don't understand the complaints here about the smell - it's real countryside surrounding. I enjoyed the authenticity of it really a lot. The historic hillock with an old mill and splendid view to the Mont Saint Michel is nearby. Very good value to the money
Stayed for two nights at Les2 Cerisiers to visit Mont St Michel and surrounding area. Accommodation is only round the corner from the Pontorson train station and shuttle bus to Mont St Michel. We had access to our own room and bathroom both of which were great size and facilities. Host was amazing and made us breakfast each morning.
Location 5mn walk to Pontorson train station, for regional trains and shuttle buses to Mont St Michel.
Easy check in and check out.
Hosts courteous and helpful.
Excellent breakfast with fresh homemade items, and eggs cooked to order.
Good wifi.
Nice shower.
Nice view of garden.
Reasonable pricing.
There wasn't anything we didn't like, but keep in mind that it is a simple room, good for a overnight stay.
Great location, just a few meters from the railway station of Pontorson which allowed for ease of access to station for our early train.
Very clean and spacious apartment. We walked to Mont St Michel from there and it took an hour, but it was an absolutely gorgeous walk. The sheep going by in the morning was awesome also. Very quiet street as well.
Lovely room with good facilities. Coffee machine, biscuits and spreads provided. Very comfortable bed. Nice area. Not far from Mont Saint Michel. Good size (but not the loft room in the pictures).
Very nice place, Florence and her husband were really friendly. The breakfast was amazing and the room very clean, this place is extremely close to Le Mont Saint Michel
Strategic position for Mont Saint Michel. Small room, clean, bathroom a little worn out and not super clean. But in the end it was ok. Staff polite and helpful.
This is an old quaint hotel with character. Lovely staff. The room fit my needs perfectly and very quiet. Not far to Mont St.Michel which is a must to see.
We were so well taken care of her Hotel Victor Hugo with so much helpful advice on visiting the area. The hotel is very elegant. The breakfast is delicious.
