the 2nd largest city in Fiji, quiet and unassuming during the christmas week. The town is only open to a mall and a few shops during public holidays and one is assured of a bright blue sky and sun through out the day.

Not much of a tourist vibe, nice to see the real Fijian side of the island. People very friendly but taxis happy to charge more than they should. A couple days to relax is enough but wouldn't plan the whole holiday around this area, 3 day's of your trip is more than enough.

Landers Bay is set in a very quiet isolated location, a taxi is required to visit anywhere but well worth it. The accommodation was lovely and the beach, bar, restaurants were a minutes walk from our room. A great place to unwind and just relax. We had quite a bit of rain but being warm rain, it did not matter.
We did not visit Lautoka as were happy staying at the resort.

Lautoka is thriving hustling busy town with everything you need. Great clothes shops and the markets are good also.
Not much to see in Lautoka besides the markets and shops. Main attractions are near Nadi but if you want to visit the islands you can depart from Anchorage Resort..

This is a chill factor #9 on my gauge.
This is a chill factor #9 on my gauge. Although, like most places, post Covid and at this price point, the Anchorage Beach Resort is a little run down and scruffy. It is a wonderful place to relax. Only a 25 min drive from NADI. The staff down at the beach restaurant, bar, pool, were wonderful, warm and welcoming. The reception desk staff were not so friendly.

Anchorage needs to improve their Room standards & booking...
Anchorage needs to improve their Room standards & booking efficiency if charging $480+. FAMILY reluctant to visit in future and may try out First Landing, Nila etc or stick to Nadi if not Sapphire Villas - superb.
I really liked having a comfortable and clean space where my whole family could be together, especially since we were travelling with children. We also met some bad traffic and arrived later than planned but our host was understanding and there was tea and coffee available so we could have a sit down together after the long drive from our various stops. We were visiting sick family in Lautoka and the space provided us with a place where we could be close enough to visit and host comfortably but not intrude on their space.
It is a very unique property in a lot of different ways. It is on a private island just off the coast of Lautoka (city and port.) The resort runs a shuttle boat back and forth for guests and staff. The staff could not have been nicer, they treated us like family! Our spacious bure was just a few feet from the beach so we could enjoy the ocean sounds 24/7. Because they were not busy, they were allowing families from town to visit as guests which we enjoyed. It would have been lonely without them.
The room type, set up and the vibe of the whole place was amazing! Felt like we were living in a rainforest.
Curious to know why the toilet had glazed windows, but the shower did not, but still a very Twilight (movie) type of experience.
Pool at night looked magical!
Kesho (driver & guide) went out of his way to make sure we experienced all things Fiji and really helped us experience the true Fijian culture/food/drinks. Thank you so much!
The pool was well shaded and there was a nice bar/restaurant 15 minutes walk up the rail tracks that was amazing (great prices and excellent service at The Boatshed. Pictures added to show the tracks and the Boatshed). Day trips offered at reception were decent (including free bus transfers to Lautoka and Nadi for shopping if you wanted) and the spa options were reasonably priced with a good variety. The local fish was delicious.
The bure - stunning, spacious. Great bathroom layout, plenty of storage space. Loved the lighting.
Beautiful walk to the restaurant.
Swimming pool.
Friendly staff. Very responsive, good communication, good free shuttle service.
It’s a boutique hotel so it makes your experience even more special as there are not many guests.
Be prepared for lots of mosquitos and some noise from the road near by.
The hotel is really nice, really simple specially during low season, no kids allow, so good for relaxing. The cabins were really nice, but the bedrooms inside the main building were average and you could hear a lot of noises coming from the hall.
The staff was lovely, always with a smile. The breakfast was good, the omelette is a must!
My director went to the location, lautoka. gate was close. locket. even the number given not in use.
very bad service. I have to arrange another hotel for my director & staffs to stay
at least put A CORRECT NUMBER. And if the guest didn't check in 9am , at least should call for confirmation.
VERY BAD SERVICE
The view from our Oceanfront Bure at high tide was lovely. It was also great having our own outdoor seating area that was enclosed by fly screen walls.
It was great having Vuda Marina only a short 5 minute walk away with a great general store and fantastic restaurant/bar - The Boat Shed.
Location of the bure was right on the water and we could snorkel and swim whenever we wanted. Free, reliable and frequent boat to transfer to Lautoka for day trips and transfers.
Joeli was a great host - friendly and super helpful to us in assisting our onward travel plans.
The staff at Anchorage were wonderful, very helpful and helped us organise our days adventures. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well.
The shuttle bus to Lautoka and Nadi really helped us get around.
I would recommend staying.
Breakfast was excellent. We had an early departure in the morning and we were able to get room service prior to departure. We loved the hotel pick-up and drop off service.
I liked the fact that the property offered a hotel like experience even though we were in a populated housing area. Pruvate parking. Good hosts. Available when needed.
Breakfast was plentiful, and the pool was lovely. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was well-priced with a variety of dishes.
