This is perhaps the fifth time that I have visited Sucre with my partner. This time was for family reasons and not tourism. However, as always, Sucre - The White City - does not disappoint. We managed to go and see the indigenous show 'Origins' and combine the experience with dinner. This 'ethnic' history of Sucre was most enjoyable and I can thoroughly recommend it to all ages.

The capital of Bolivia.
The capital of Bolivia. Amazing architecture in the churches and the government buildings. The city is alive with vendors, The central market is not to be missed. Many small cafes and restaurants, so much to explore and experience.

Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.
Sucre is capital of Bolivia but suddenly is very calm place.
People are nice and streets (except market area) are not crowded.
City is quite small and centre has perfect construction. Need 10 minutes by walking to reach all interesting places.
But most important is the history of that place...
Worth to visit!

We were in Sucre for 4 days, it was lovely to have enough time to stop and watch the markets and see the town in its routine. Recommend hoping on a local bus for its route to see some of the back streets and hop off when something takes your fancy. Buses and Taxi's everywhere so you're never lost. Wonderful to see Indigenous tribes living here in Sucre, and their wonderful clothes and colours.
Recommend taking the bus out "of town" to Mercado Campesino for a another view into the day to day of Sucre.

Beautiful architecture and great food.
Beautiful architecture and great food. It was much better than I expected. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do any of the tours, which would have been fantastic. I especially enjoyed the people of Sucre. I encourage everyone to visit this city for at least a day. I would have liked to stay longer. Try out some of the wines sold near the plaza! They're excellent.
Great value for money! Cannot recommend this highly enough. I have found Bolivian hotels disappointing but not this! Felt at home and wish I could have stayed for longer. Very clean the surfaces are absolutely sparkling and nice clean white sheets. Simple private bathroom, well stocked kitchen, nice out doors and indoor area. They even have food you can use and just put money to an honesty box. They helped me so much with taxis and early check in. They recommended a cheap laundrette as well. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Easily the best hostel I stayed at during my Bolivia travels. Super helpful and friendly staff, awesome location (gym and fruit & vegetable market directly outside the hostel), and very cheap for how nice the place is. The staff checked me in early as my night bus arrived around 4am no problem and I went on a tour for a few days and they even messaged me to check if I was okay as I hadnt returned to the hostel for a couple of days. A+++++
The views from our room were beautiful. It is located in the old part of the town, just a few minutes was from La Recoleta.
It is a pretty property, with lovely features.
Tania (the host) was extremely helpful and receptive. They offer a laundry service for a reasonable price.
The kitchen facilities are excellent and clean.
There is a balcony with 2 deckchairs which is great for relaxing after a long day exploring Sucre.
beautiful very well maintained property, also spotlessly clean kitchen that could be used by the guests (I saw one lady move the stove away from its place to clean behind there, that kind of clean!), the rooms were cleaned every day too. Very quiet too, best nights sleep I've had on my travels so far. The staff was exceptionally friendly. very good breakfast included as well.
A great place to stay in Sucre! Quiet at night, comfy beds, hot water in the showers, nice included breakfast in the morning, super friendly and kind staff on hand. Rooms here are a great value as well! I would be happy to come back to Casa de Huespedes Isabella next time I visit Sucre, and also recommended it to several friends who visited Sucre as well.
The apartment is really spacious and clean, very close to the main square, very convenient. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There were even tea and coffee and sugar left in the cupboard for use, very thoughtful. Even though the supermarket is just two blocks away. We really enjoyed our stay in Sucre. Thank you.
Kulturberlin is a great hostel for meeting people with a vibrant nightlife & plenty of activities run by David and Dario such as beer pong and football. It also has a top tier breakfast and a nice restaurant for dinner. Also a cheap and easy place too learn Spanish.
Everyone at the hotel was very nice, cheerful and always willing to help. They made everyday great in Sucre! The hotel is in a great location, beautiful property with an amazing breakfast. The view from the terrace is very impressive. I will definitely return!
This really is an exceptional hotel and great value for money. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. And the location is perfect for attractions and restaurants. Plus lots of places to relax if you don't want to go out.
Super friendly staff. Comfortable, clean room, breakfast is good, you can use the kitchen which is well equipped to cook. We were completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this place if you're staying in Sucre.
Very charming property in central Sucre near the main square and all the main attractions of the city. The room was large and confortable. At the last floor of the hotel a stunning rooftop bar overlooking all the city
Nice sized bathroom with terrific shower. Beds are comfortable. WiFi work excellent. Hotel entrance is secure. It's near all the attractions for the historical area of Sucre. Many restaurants nearby. Nice fridge
Absolutely beautiful B&B! The host explained everything about Sucre in detail and was super accommodating and let us use the common space while waiting for the night bus. Super comfortable and beautiful garden!
Very nice and decent place. Super clean and comfortable. And the bed is FIVE STAR! I think I had the best sleep here during my three-week trip. The place itself is much better than the pictures.
The hotel is a wonderful place, it has an elegant Spanish colonial style and its terrace has a privileged view of the city.
The service was perfect and the breakfast was delicious!
Such a beautiful hotel (it says hostal, but it's a hotel), in the best, most walkable part of Sucre. Fantastic and friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. Would absolutely stay again!
Nice place to stay for one or two nights in Sucre. The WiFi worked very well. The room was okay but nothing special. The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful.
